Twitter: Jerry on curtains over windows

A frustrated Jerry Jones had some comments about the sun impacting play at AT&T Stadium: “By the way, we know where the sun is going to be when we decide to flip the coin or not. We do know where the damn sun is going to be in our own stadium.”

Why not put up curtains over the windows?

Jerry: “Well let’s tear the damn stadium down and build another one? Are you kidding me?

“Everybody has got the same thing. Every team that comes in here has the same issues.

“I’m saying, the world knows where the sun is. You get to know that almost a year in advance. Someone asked me about the sun. What about the sun? Where’s the moon?”

Yet it seems to screw us over regularly. Whatever Jerry.

While it sucks to see him taking the team down with him of course, it's glorious to watch this man's reputation as a "football guy" implode all around him and in all different ways nationally, locally, from Cowboy fans and non-Cowboy fans, from the media. the players and pretty much the world. Everyone knows you are incompetent, EVERYONE. YOU are the problem Jerry. YOU and your dopey son. Time to decide if you want to ever see another SB before you die or if you prefer this charade of pretending you can actually run a football team...tick tock, tick tock...

Here's the problem with Jerry's thinking. He said they know where the sun is going to be when they toss the coin. The problem is, he doesn't know where the team will be when they get to the end zone. So instead of being a pig-headed d-bag about it, just put stupid blinds up and he won't be asked that question anymore.

I love his reaction.... "Let's just tear the stadium down and build a new one...". What a twit to say something as ridiculous as that. It's like saying, "Hey Jerry, your car needs tires". And Jerry says, "Why don't we just buy a new car"? That's how stupid that comment was and just shows you his freaking ego is bigger than Texas.

I heard some guys talking on the radio and they were saying AT&T stadium is only 1 of 2 stadium built with the field going East-West. Most other stadiums are build North South to avoid the sun facing directly into the line of sight of either team. I don't know how true this is but they were wondering why the NFL allowed Jerry to build the stadium aligned like that?

But Jerry's statement about having to tear down the stadium and rebuild it is interesting. It makes me think this conversation has taken place or there was discussion about how to fix the sum problem. I don't think anyone is suggesting they tear down a $1 billion stadium. But why doesn't Jerry just address the curtains solution?

Thing is the sun effects the Cowboys more than the opponents. Jerry said he wants win bad, but don't ask him to close the curtains.

Other teams deal with it once a year maybe. Dallas deals with it multiple games.

Jerry cripples this team.

Not to mention they HAVE curtains. Might be smart to use them during games when the sun is setting. And can we have the roof open more than once every few years?
Bob mentioned it earlier and a lot of insiders that know Jerry have been saying the same thing for years. The stadium was intentionally angled the way it was because Jerry and Gene toured east/west stadiums and loved the aesthetic. Jerry and Charlotte loved the look from a marketing aspect of taking professional quality pictures of the team in the rays of the sun.

He doesn't care about it for other events and teams so he drops the blackout curtains for them since it's clearly annoying for everyone in the stadium.

He'll never change it, it's his toy and it's how he wants it. He's just never going to admit that's the reason to anyone but his hangers on and family.

Sounds about right for Jerry.

Jerry won't do that because it's not aesthetically pleasing and camera shots of sunlight filtering into the stadium look much more glamorous than some big black curtains. Style over substance.
Jerry so desperately wants the spotlight that he was willing to have the stadium built East to West so the Sun could shine in so all could bask in his glory.

Well, why not get a nice big set of curtains that put a giant Cowboys star over the field when the sun sets the right way?

He's taken all of the fun/passion out of being a fan of the team. I don't even care anymore.
I've been a die hard fan since 1976. Some on here say that a "true fan" would never root for his team to lose. Sorry, I am a TRUE fan, and I want to see us lose every game for the rest of this season. I have had it with Jerruh and him thinking the fan base is nothing more than a cash cow for him and his idiot son. We sadly can't help but give our hearts to this team, and all Jerruh does is give us a **** product.

I want to see this team lose, and for the fans to stop going to the games. Let the stands be a sea of the opponent's fans. Stop buying merchandise. Let's hope the networks start flexing the Cowboys out of prime time national spots. Let Jerruh maybe see and feel what an embarrassing product he is putting on the field.

*** was that we watched yesterday? I have never seen such a noodle-armed QB in the NFL. And the play calling was horrendous too, but that's been the case all season. Big Mac's offensive playbook should be thrown in the dumpster. It's amazing to see the difference in the Dallas play calls, and a modern offense like the Chiefs, Lions, Rams et al.

NFL fans, in general, are a cash cow. Hence, Great Britain, Germany, Brazil. Japan, Ireland, Australia and Spain coming soon.

He will never close those curtains. Especially now that people have pointed out how stupid it is to leave them open.

I thought that after 30ish years of listening to Jerry, I knew the limits of his ego. Apparently, I’ve been blind to his over the top arrogance all these years. I see it now. Wow.

You built the Stadium West-East instead of North-South, dummy. You knew better. Own it. Fix it. Quit doubling down, you arrogant ****.
