I don't make excuses, people that hate him, keep wasting their time and energy ripping him and are still here....they, are making excuses. I just know he's here, why waste my time? He's a piece of crap, yeah.....so, why let him get to you? Screw him, enjoy the team, enjoy the game, enjoy the fanhood. To hell with JJ. I stopped listening to him years ago.

For the umpteenth time, some people (perhaps most people) are hung up on Jerry Jones using backwoods colloquialisms in order to communicate. Everyone has heard the man using them ever since he entered the public arena. And that has been almost 36 years.

Jones built his initial multi-millionaire fortune, atop what he received from his father, in oil exploration. Some people are unintentionally or intentionally misinterpreting the term as erotic instead of what it actually is: an oil drilling term.

"There is a low percentage of this that is smiles and <term>. A very low percentage."

Jones is an oil wildcatter (he never left the industry). Wildcatters are overjoyed whenever they strike oil. They are extremely disappointed whenever they do not. In other words, a wildcatter is not happy after drilling a <insert term> (a very time consuming and expensive process) and either not getting the amount of expected oil output or no output at all.

Jerry translator: "Fans are feeling the same thing I feel whenever I do not strike oil.".

Again, it is and will be stupidity if-and-until the man's mental competency declines. This is the way he gets his thoughts across to others, like he has always done.

Just a continual personal pet peeve but I will never understand why anyone gives Jones an excuse based on a falsehood when the real reason (HE IS FOOTBALL STUPID!) is worse. I can only hang onto the assumption some people have no clue what senility and dementia really is.

Yup. He is lucid, alert, oriented in all spheres, and fully cognizant of his surroundings and situations.
He just can't express himself well in speech sometimes.
I think a lot of us are so frustrated with his narcissism that we like to poke fun at him.
If he was truly demented, his family would step in. They are not dummies.

Bold> Some folks are joking but not all. Jones does not help defeat the misconception by continuing to speak like he always has. Non-conventional speech, combined with his outward physical appearance (e.g. he's old) are misleading.

The best approach is not always the easiest for some of us.
Epictitus, a Greek philosopher, taught and practiced the philosophy of Stoicism. Why get upset over things we have no control over? Cognitive detachment is easier said than done.
Sigh... It's hard to be a Cowboys fan lately.

I have considered that possibility but discount it in my opinion based on reviewing his public comments in videos since he bought the franchise. Age can be a contributing factor in his delivery.

However, his delivery is not stumbling over word usage. On the other hand, expressive aphasia would support that doodle scribbling documented during the last owners' meetings. So, I would not totally dismiss that diagnosis.
