Actually— firing the HC may actually cause a (brief) uptick in performance— there is historical precedence.
Firing Garrett tomorrow does three things:
1. It Acknowledges the elephant in the room and the albatross around our neck and injects some hope into the fanbase
2. Allows you to evaluate Richard on the job which should make your ultimate hiring decision easier by either identifying or eliminating him from the equation (personally I am rooting for the clean house approach)
3. You want to win games and get to the playoffs this season? Taking action restores confidence and allows the team to rebound. Doing nothing will only engender receiving the same results.
This decision is literally making itself but JJ can’t allow himself to fire his son
