I expect some ups and downs but like Brown, I expect more him to do his job. For all the trash Brown has taken he has made several big plays, he may get beat on occasions as most CB will at times but we need him to go out and defend passes and make plays.

Brown is solid but nowhere near gret and gets beat and gets penalized more often than most fans would like and that who we should Judge KJ too, Not a player like Diggs or seasoned vet, lots of growing pains because he will get picked on A LOT,

HOWEVER, this fanbase need to lower expectations and give him fair assessment. if you expect him to be Diggs and that how you react to his play, that won't be fun debate around here.

lets keep him compared to Brown/Lewis level of play IE both have susceptible to get beat at times, get over panelized at times, been our weak links at times on defense. so lets keep Calm and let see how he develops over 6-7 starts and not judge every snap or bad play, Just keep our expectations with perspective.

Growing pains will happen.

Nobody with half a brain expects Kelvin Joseph to be Trevon Diggs. If he's able to simply be the best version of himself, all of Cowboys Nation will be able to breathe a grateful sigh of relief. He only needs to be the same guy that we drafted and play the kind of football that he's capable of. There's no doubt that he'll have his ups and downs -- they all do. He just needs to be better than he's been in the past with the Cowboys. That's not asking much.

Never said Brown was great, he will give up plays but he will also make big defense plays. Diggs in the last game got burned for a TD biting on a double move, it happens at that position. I have less complaint about Brown than many do. I watch a lot of teams in the NFL and CB around the league get burned and penalized even more than Brown. My dream is we get 2 big time shutdown CB but realistically that will not happen. I take a guy who will battle like Brown, and I hope the same for KJ.
