- Add an immediate Plan B option .. if Joseph cannot perform, or is even injured.

- Bland to outside CB ?

- Or Nashon Wright to backup outside ?... (Yikes..!!)

- Does this mean the likes of Shefied and Alexander(practice squadees) may have to ask to play slot or some nickel packages ?

He doesn’t have big shoes to fill. Not like he is replacing diggs. He is replacing brown for gawd sakes.

Actually it is still a pretty big deal. Brown plays against #1 NFL receivers just like every other corner in the NFL. Wherever you feel Brown ranks in the pecking order of corners, KJ still hasn't pushed him for his job. We gotta hope he rises to the occasion.

Bud Light Presents: Real Men of Genius
~real men of genius!~

Today we salute YOU, Mr. General Manager of Wisdom.
~mr. general manager of wisdom!~

Any general manager can quote pearls of wisdom but it takes real talent to talk about fleas and lids.
~grab a can of raid!~

Squatting in front of microphones, you tirelessly spout gems of Arkansas hillbilly proverbs.
~suuuuey pig!~

Do they make sense? Do they have to?
~no!~

And even though you don't know what you're talking about, it never stops your lips from flapping.
~quack quack!~

So crack open an ice-cold Bud Light, know-it-all, because every time you speak, you're a hall of famer.

I think people are possibly taking Jerry's comment about "growing up" more harshly than he meant it. Knowing Jerry he probably meant it as most would say "step up"...but that's just a passing thought. I'm not married to it.

Sometimes a scrub is just a scrub. That's what you get when you ignore a position. Because Jerrah demands that it's time for him to play good doesn't mean he suddenly will.

There's surely something to be said for that. But if Kelvin comes to the realization that he might soon lose his Cowboys job, maybe the idea of that might convince him that he's making a big mistake taking that job for granted. All of a sudden, losing a great deal of money and fame might serve to have him prioritize things better than he has so far. I hope so, for his benefit, and for the benefit of the Cowboys also.

He's right.......Kevin couldn't ask for a better opportunity to earn a starting job next season.

Edit: Oops, not the only one with this idea. Should have read the full thread and not just the Op before responding, lol

Brown certainly does not get the respect. Often times 1 play dictates a players career around here. Brown has given up 4 TD while Diggs has given up 3. Penalties Brown has 3 penalties and Diggs 3 penalties

make or break for him with the Cowboys

he’ll get more chances because if his talent and athleticism and the position he plays

That’s what I’m saying make or break with the Cowboys. Someone else is bound to give him a shot if and when we move on.

If you locked Kelvin Joseph in a jar and he kept jumping and hitting his head on the cap then you let him out of the jar would he still jump as high?

Joseph has the physical tools to succeed. The issue here is his commitment and dedication based on the evaluation the evaluation on Joseph. Jerry is admitting a lack of total commitment on Kelvin's part.

Gee, Jerry, yuh think? That is a breakdown in the evaluation of a draft prospect.

The first clue to me was his dedication to something, other than football, that takes considerable time and effort. I was under the impression that being an NFL football player was a full time job. His musical "career", "hobby", or whatever you want to call it was a definite red flag and the Cowboys should have passed on him.

Kelvin is who he is and now Jerry expects him to be something different. This is on Jerry, not Kelvin.
