Jerry is like a broken clock, right twice a day. This happens to be one of those two daily times. He wasn't drafted to be a special teams demon. A 2nd round player was drafted to be a quality NFL starter at some point. No time like the present.

As for Brown committing penalties? he has been flagged 3 time teams throw at his many more times than Diggs and as we know Brown is thrown at a lot more than Diggs. I would also add Brown has given up 4 TD and Diggs 3 TD. teams have completed 53% on Brown and Diggs 65%

Reads to me like a “grow up kid” comment.

I can certainly see it from an organizational perspective because it’s year two for a second round pick and he needs to step up at a position of need.

And Joseph either does that now, or the team will not factor him into future plans and will start the process of replacing him.

This is the definition of a career crossroads.
Here is an idea. DONT DRAFT projects in the freaking second round with character concerns? Then you dont have to come out and say things like this. You know who was on the board when we took Joseph? JOK. Imagine him and Parsons together. Here we are though. Taking another chance on a knucklehead who was kicked out of his first college program because rap music was more important than football.

If Joseph doesn’t step up with this opportunity it’s not likely he’ll be back next season. This is make or break for him.

make or break for him with the Cowboys

he’ll get more chances because if his talent and athleticism and the position he plays

I think this is what he needed to accelerate his development. Not saying it's going to be pretty though.

He's right.......Kevin couldn't ask for a better opportunity to earn a starting job next season.

Couldn't agree more. It should've already happened tbh. Hopefully he is 100% committed and ready to grab the bull by its horns.

I think we can safely surmise that Jerry has a lot more inside knowledge of Joseph than we ever will. The situation around the shooting, the feedback from the coaching staff, the comments from players, heck we don't even know if he has side conversations with players like Zeke, Dak, Lawrence, Brown or Diggs when he passes them by in the hallway.

What we do know is he has way more access than us dull normals. So if he has spouted this off in public about a specific Cowboys player, which I rarely see from him, I would think there is quite a bit of potential fire behind this smoke signal.

It is too bad that it has to get to situations like this where you geriatric owner has to call you out in social media, but maybe this is the type of thing that has to get this kid to start thinking about what the NFL actually means in his life.

Right now he makes me wish we still had Brown lining up in the corner. Once again, even though fans consistently whine about Brown, it never was his fault that he kept the starter's job.

I felt it was more an indictment of the players that were on the bench behind him, and how inept they were in being unable to displace a 189th, 6th round, draft pick.

Cheers to Brown for making the best of NFL chances. You gotta praise a player who has his head on straight.

Jeers to the Kelvin Josephs of the league who don't realize the opportunity they have in front of them.

True, but another poster brought up a good point.

Jerry Jones knew about Joseph’s background, and he still drafted him. It’s hard to sympathize with someone when they knew what they were signing up for and did it anyway. A person can’t make bad decisions and then act surprised when things go badly.

Brown is solid but nowhere near gret and gets beat and gets penalized more often than most fans would like and that who we should Judge KJ too, Not a player like Diggs or seasoned vet, lots of growing pains because he will get picked on A LOT,
We are going to miss Brown WAY more than we would miss Joseph.

Everyone knew, that's why he didn't get drafted in the 1st round. And, he's only started out of necessity.
