I've been keeping up for a while, and never except anything to happen at the TD, Amari Cooper was an exception to the rule. Heck, Big Hank was a surprise last season. I'm amazed at all these trade threads like it's Madden.

This is a pretty loaded roster already so the only reason to make a trade would be to get someone who is better than what they already have. Of course they have some JAGs on the team, but why trade for someone who won't start or play a significant role. At this point they should only trade to find someone who will start and make a difference. First they have to identify one of those players, then they have to convince the other team to trade him for a reasonable price. Maybe Jerry is talking but just not willing to give up what he has left in draft picks.

Even if Philly doesn’t make another move, Howie is still pushing for it. Did we ever hear about all the teams Philly had to outbid for Kevin Byard? No, we got him for Peanuts because he likely would have been a Titan for the rest of the season until Howie pinned their GM on a conference call all weekend until he said yes.

There wasn’t even a whisper about anyone else even knowing AJ Brown was available… because he wasn’t until Howie called. Their HC went on live TV and said he’s never getting traded… until Howie called.

It’s not that Howie is some Jedi or wizard, it’s that he’s willing to try. CJGJ, Deandre Swift, Darius Slay; there was no market. Howie created the market. Jerry thinks it’s not worth the effort? He’s not that “type” of GM? He can’t foresee a scenario where his roster could get better? It feels like right now it’s just gossip of the day, but I really think It is one of the most bizarre things he’s ever said.
