When Jerry finally stops being GM Stephen will be the only one with the potential to break Jerry's ongoing record for longest tenure at GM without even making it to a conference title game. Nobody else has the "intangibles" to break such a monolithic record.
and when he's gone his grandson will take over, with the understanding he doesn't have to do a thing to continue the ship

Look for Jerruh's memoirs, possibly published by Simon & Schuster, out next year.
Probable title is "Jerry Jones on Building Championships: We Like Our Team" .... Better reserve your copy now

This loaded roster got embarassed by San Francisco 2 weeks ago.
Yes, they did, but IMO, that had more to do with the coaches than the roster. MM had a terrible game plan to start with. So Did Quinn. I think Cleveland and particularly Minnesota show how to beat SF.

The Cowboys did not play well. They go beat on both sides of the ball. But people are not talking about signing new offensive or defensive linemen to fix that problem, they are talking about signing D. Henry.

The SF game was an anomaly, IMO. This is a good team that right now is held back for McCarthy's play calling and conservative offense. There has to be some compromise between McCarthy's shackled offense and Kellen's Moore circus act.
