Jerry on RB and WR

I don't see how that's relevant to my point. Reality is our defense was almost dead last last year. And people want to use a premium pick......on a WR2. At least OL is in the trenches, but I am sick of watching a defense that's about as stout as a wet paper bag. Nolen or Grant would have helped.
I was simply pointing out that the Cowboys don’t ignore defense, premium picks or otherwise.

Wasn’t trying to imply anything really

This just tells me Parsons won't be getting any quality help this year. What a clown show going all offense first 3 picks.

If we miss out on Burden or Higgins or Noel, I want this team to find a way to get Kyle Williams or Tai Felton. We all know about Williams, but I see Tyreke with Felton.

I think the team is going to prioritize defense with this next pick, unless Burden falls to 44. Can't blame them, there are several first round quality players available on defense.

I didn’t think Burden was worth the 12th pick but I would be very happy if the Cowboys took him at 12. He looked like Mingo fo Dallas at Mizzou because his quarterback kept overthrowing him.

Looking a Mosher’s list someone good will fall to us. We should have a second walk in starter.

I hope they find their WR quickly and just blast the rest of the draft with defensive picks. Get a RB in 5.

I have a feeling they are gonna trade for both wide receiver and running back. If Sanders is there at 44. Steelers will trade with us.

Jerry just doesn't believe in drafting DTs in first round.

I think they expected to get wiped out at one of those positions and CB. Fully expect a player trade tomorrow or Sunday for whichever one we don't get a starter. Maybe not RB since we can more than likely still get a starter in 5. But I agree, we just have too many needs and not enough picks to around.

RB1/committee and WR2 depth in this draft is decent.

2nd-5th rounds will have some gems and workable/development players

WR: Luther Burden, Isaiah Bond, Xavier Restrepo
RB: TreVeyon Henderson, Cam Skattebo, Devin Neal
Bond is currently charged with sexual assault. They should stay clear of that mess. Would be a distraction.

Yeah whoever they don’t pick at 44 and 76 between running back, cornerback, or wide receiver, the Cowboys will trade for that spot. Don’t rule out the UCLA linebacker kid at 44 if he is there. Think of Sean Lee but healthy.

Totally agree. If he's there, fully expect him to be the pick. Would be an A+ pick imo.

It's really strange how EVERYONE complains about the defense once the games start, but when the draft comes 90% of the posters here want nothing but offense with the premium picks, and then they just complain about the defense again. It's really bizarre, like a psychological defect.
I agree with you but in my mind I just didn't see a DT1 worthy of that high of a pick and LG is a real need, so if we were gonna get the best chance for a good one we had to take the best G in the draft early.

Nolen or Grant I would have been very happy with. The defense was PATHETIC last year. And a few reject FAs and a few day 3 picks will do nothing.

Sadly, reports are he is lazy and the person in line at practice to do anything. They likely don’t value him
