Ok here goes and bare with my spelling and punctuation

He said the nines played conservative in the second half and didn't allow turnovers to help get us back in it.
Garrett told the coaches to not focus on the" what if's" with regards to the turnovers and focus on what they did wrong.

He didn't feel they would have won if the turnovers didn't happen.

He spoke about Romo's performance and he said he is a perfectionist who sees the field well and on Sunday he didn't do that. He said his mechanics were off which affected his arm strength (he sounded like a coach here)

The goalie play Romo saw the nines in the gaps and he checked out and the line run blocked instead of pass. He said he should have went with the higher percentage play. He reiterated how he wants to get be perfect.

He said the fan issue now that he can look back on it is he sees a lot of cowboys fans at away games and we had a lot of fans in the suites. He admitted the second market tickets affects games and the Avg ticket was $300.00 for Sunday and he can see why someone would stay home rather then spend the money with the family.

He said a lot niners fans from Cali are transplants in Texas due to economic struggles there.

He was asked is this a reflection of the 8-8 finishes and he said he is interested in having a team better than 8-8 and it drives him to make things better and it is his top priority to fix it.

Durant is the only ques. player going into Sunday

This is a brief recap not word for word

He didn't have excuses in my mind and that was actually tolerable to listen to. Dare I say it might be sinking into his head finally.

So it pretty much supports what people are saying. San Fran wasn't trying to run up the score in the second half. They were trying to play conservative and use up the clock.

This defense will come back down to reality. Let's just hope Romo doesn't single handedly make the offense worse than the defense again.

Thanks for the recap.
I would say it seems it is sinking in, or it was too early for JWB...LOL..

Most likely it may be sinking in, because he has Stephen more in his ear, as well as others.

Anybody who believes the 49ers didn't go into major cruise-control / protect the insurmountable lead mode in the 2nd half is kidding themselves.

Posts in this thread bashing Jerry or Garrett will lead to account bannings!

There's a whole forum with a lot of threads for those discussions.

Winning cures everything. Win more and folks won't sell their tickets.

Well they did attempt at least one deep pass in the 2nd half that should have been intercepted after Crawford put a lick on him. And conservative or not, they did try to run the ball down our throats to not much success. So maybe the defense can stop the run and will cause turnovers when offenses do try.

You see, I'm in a quandary between staunchly following my points for optimism or your points for pessimism.

Did the Cowboys' defense play that poorly in the first half?

They did, no doubt. The question is how to take that info and whether or not to feel good about the defense with the 2nd half results. Some would argue that we were put in the most inopportuned position to face a Kapernick offense and that if we'd put him in a position to try to score a lot of points then there might have been more plays like the one where Durant should have intercepted the ball.

This was a surprising bit of realism that pleases me.

Hard to really say. We have up 28 points (well 21 because the fumble was ran back). But Romo threw 3 picks and set up those other 21 points. The defense still let them score though. It's hard to say because the defense was given no favors. Maybe they would have looked awful without the turnovers. We'll see eventually.

Am I the only one that gets a little nervous as my finger clicks a thread with a Jerry media recap? lol

I usually won't even open it and I don't typically listen at all but for some reason today I did and for the first time I listened to a man that's sounds like reality might be setting in....stay tuned

1st possession: 3 plays, 80 yards and a TD in 1:28
2nd possession: 1 play, 2 yards and a TD in :06 (Not their fault, obviously)
3rd possession: 11 plays, 41 yards and a punt in 7:12
4th possession: 9 plays, 64 yards and a TD in 3:00

So one punt in the first half after an 11 play drive that was halted by a holding penalty by Joe Staley and the Cowboys only sack of the game.

It was pretty much a continuation of last year. They were basically scoring at will. The only reason the bleeding stopped in the second half was because they went into lead management mode. If the Cowboy's offense didn't lay an egg, the 49ers would have continued to score at will.
