Zimmer would only be some teams fallback / last resort candidate.

I know the Rams want a Defensive guy as HC. Their #1 candidate is supposedly Gregg Williams. KC also is interested in Williams. Whoever loses out on him may look at Zimmer. But I don't think he's #1 or #2 on anybody's wishlist.

KC's offense with a Greg Williams coached defense would be scary!!!

Capers is horrible...

I don't understand why there's so much luv for Capers on this board. His defenses have never done anything in Houston. His skills as a coordinator is so overrated...

I think many people see Norv Turner as Head Coach/OC and Don Capers as the DC as the perfect coaching tandem for the team. The only thing that trumps some people's inexplicable love for Capers would be the insatiable need for the early 90's nostalgic circle jerk, and Norv would fill the bill.

Sonds good to me. All we need is an Al Grogh or Pete Carrol to be the HC...Anyone else ? I'm thinking from the College ranks, to help us in the draft. Like Jimmy was a draft guru, when he 1st got out of the College program.

Martz and Capers as the Cordinators...

They were most excellent coordinators...but we would have to scrap the current WR's...I think you could keep T. Glenn but the others don't have the speed

I would keep Crayton too. Deceptive speed and good RAC ability.

If we were to bring in a guy like Turner, we would have to get someone else to call signals. Bledsoe is not the kind of QB that can be succesful in Norv's timing offense. Doesn't throw short balls well. Isn't disciplined enough with the offense to accept settling for short routes as first options. JMO.

Ok, you really did not break my heart with that...lol

so Zim and Peyton get HC gigs and Bill goes to Detroit and we get...

hopefully somebody with vim and vigor

Do you really want the scenario to play out this way? You are not the biggest fan of Parcells but I wonder how you think the team would do if this extreme scenario played out?

Ultimately speaking, you must believe we need to pretty much start out from scratch on offense. And defense (at leat where the scheme is concerned).

all the more reason to do it :D

When are we going to get back to what Jerry had to say (which is all that really matters)?

I know you didn't ask me this...but.

We either start from scratch this year...or the following year when BP does leave. So why wait.

Again, the only way I want BP back is if he signs an extension. Or we will be going through this whole process again after the season ends next year.

I believe we should have started that rebuilding on the offense last year friend

The offense has always taken the longest time to build... defenses can be built rather quickly...yet we concentrated on the Defensive side of the ball when other solutions were available and we go for the quick/but short term fix on the O...it should have been the other way around... imho

The question I asked related to us losing the head coach and both coordinators this off season. Do you want that to happen and do you think it would be a 'good thing?' I wonder why we are getting this kind of attention since our coordinators both take such heat as not being worth two cents?

duh sorry...

I think Zim is a 4-3 guy and better suited for it...I have no idea how he would be as a HC

I think Peyton maybe an ok HC but I am not all enamored with his style as a off. coord. unless that is Bill's doing

Both Zimm and Payton and Oline coaches...MUST GO!

Get rid fo them........

I take Capers as DC....and Norv Turner as OC....teamed up with Billy. yeah baby...lol

new hc, new cord, start rebuilding all, over again. i just don't see why so many people want to start over again with a whole new system.if one of our cord. leave then you replace him but to start all over with a whole new staff just seems to me klike another 3 or 4 years of rebuilding a team thats a couple of spots on the oline and a kicker from being not only a playoff team but a nice young defense with a bright future. don't get this tear it up and start over mentality

And you were ok with our offense??? This offense drove me insane this year...the playcalling was so inconsistant it was ludacris!

Zaxor are you ducking my question? You throw rocks routinely at Parcells and the coordinators. Would it be a good thing or not? Let me state my position. I do not believe it would be a good thing to lose the head coach and both coordinators in the offseason. I believe it would ****** progress and make a number of players leave as soon as possible. It would make obtaining FA's much more difficult. In fact, were this to happen, we would all be trembling in fear at what was going to happen next.

It is reported that Parcells is miserable as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. He is a miserable individual and his misery has somewhat spread in the organization. But the Dallas Cowboys are no longer a laughing stock in the NFL. And make no mistake that is what we were before BP. We were the 'America's Team' private (and public) NFL joke. Winning (at least some) and turning the organization around has changed that perception at least.

Were you to get your wish, I think you would rue the day! There is a lot of modestly informed speculation that BP will not return. You had better hope we keep some continuity in the OC and DC positions!

What does it matter? In the final analysis, it matters little if you are for this or against it. It is entirely possilbe that we might lose both coordinators and our HC. It is not a decision that we can effect either way so what is the point of fighting it out?

The preverbeal flea on a dogs back question.
