:lmao2: over the meltdowns over doing nothing.
Hey if they can swing a trade, and improve great, fantastic. But if it does not happen, then we are still in pretty good shape.

So whine now about it, because if a trade does happen, you will be whining at the draft, or for the next few years still. If not about the trade, then something else. :lmao2:
The teams we would most likely face in the playoffs can all do one thing that the Cowboys suck at defending against. RUN THE BALL.

So stop acting like standing PAT is a good idea here. Niners were dangerous last year without CMC. I know you arent saying everything the Cowboys do is good. However acting like they cant improve their current roster is not a good take which is surprising from you.

This place is a joke. We spent so much time hammering these guys for telegraphing their moves and now that they play it more cautiously y’all still gripe. I’m not even a jones fan and I wish he wouldn’t talk so much but come on at least be cornsistent.

As far as I'm concerned if we still have our 1st round pick tonight it's a mistake.

How about throwing caution to the wind and approach the Raiders about trading Davante Adams? They are 2-5 and going no where fast. His salary is not too bad for the next 2.5 years for a top flight WR. In 2022 he is still owed $2.0 million in salary, 2023 he is owed $6.6 million in salary and bonuses, and in 2024 he is owed $17.5 million in salary in bonuses. We could just cut him or renegotiate in 2025 when his salary starts to get outrageous. Having him for $26.1 million over the next 2 1/2 years is a bargain.

This might be the most rational Jerry quote I've ever read.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting him but I understand "if it doesn't come to you" to mean if the right deal isn't found you don't take the deal that is there simply to fill the position of need you wish to upgrade. I don't think he means he is just going to sit back and check his phone every couple hours to see if anyone called.

I would likely use the same phrasing to make that same point.

It's a good thing they are being careful and not just "going after it" by throwing draft picks to the wind.

Translation ..

Jerry to Other Teams: "We want your great players!"

Also Jerry to Other Teams: "We want you to contact us so we can act like we are doing you a favor!"

Other Teams: "That's not how it works..."
Meanwhile, CowboysZone believes we have more talent than most teams in the league.

Which front office is doing a better job?

I didn't say they could not improve. I said they are still in pretty good shape. Not sure where you are coming from or at me with this.

We did not see what Hankins can do with the run defense yet. The Bears game, they run on everyone. They also had Gallimore active and Hill inactive, when hill has been the better player. Not sure why that decision.

They will make a trade. I’m not sure if it’ll be a big one or not, but they’ll make a deal..and I think it’s more likely a bigger name than a smaller name. Maybe not a huge splash..but around a second or third round pick
We’ll see. I wouldn’t really mind you being right about that.

Looking forward to a solid day of speculation and false hope only to end up with Cedric Wilson

In other words, if another team wants to do the work and calls us we'll listen. Otherwise we'll be over here smelling ourselves over the great job we're doing.
Kinda like a dog smelling their own butts to figure out what they just ate.

Why is everyone still so enamored over Cedric Wilson?
He was not a difference maker.

he’s clearly not, but his chemistry with Dak was undeniable given the amounts of targets he was given.

the good news is that Jones engages in so much double-speak that there’s little chance of other GMs knowing what the hell he’s talking about or what direction he’s moving in.

He had a few good games, where the other WR's were taken out of the game. And a great RAC that was the highlight of his career.
Sorry, just don't see it. I liked what he brought though, but just not as hyped up on him and some.
Do I wish he would have stayed, yes. But do not trade to get him back. Washington will prove to be better once he gets on the field.

all JMO though, which doesn't mean a thing.

Pretty much sums it up.
Probably one of the best descriptions about Jerry Speak that I heard.

Washington being an upgrade is the hope. It’s not that Wilson leaving was the issue more than it was Cooper AND Wilson leaving. We know what Wilson brought to Raynes confidence as a receiver but we still have an unknown in Washington……having said that I don’t believe that Wilson should have been retained if the price wasn’t right. He’s expendable
