Jerry regrets the roster he gave McCarthy this year

He has final say, but I really doubt that Jerry is going "That Guyton guy ummm is ummm ... the one we want." The scouts have input, the coaches have input and Jerry/Stephen make the final call based on that input.

Guyton is not very good. Maybe someday but right now this was a very sketchy pick where we got him. We reached for need and it bit us.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones when asked about having regrets about the roster he provided Mike McCarthy and the coaching staff:

"I think that's fair. I think that's very fair. I always provide the roster for the coaches. If you don't get there then you've always got some second-guessing. Yes, I second-guess myself all the time."

I don't know which is worse, them thinking this roster could get it done, or knowing it was devoid of enough talent and just didn't give a damn to save some money.

It was a throwaway year all along. We all knew it as well. Can't find the reason why. It's not as if Jerry's getting any younger.
