Garrett is getting the call from Callahan that gives him more input not less. As HC if Garrett is not liking what is taking place it is much easier to overrule a call. You can sit there and try to belittle Garrett all you want but this move gives Garrett more control not less

Sure it does... Jerry says it doesn't, but Doomsday101, who is all about what the organization says is gospel, just doesn't believe what Jerry says point blank in this case. I guess Garrett decided to run play-action more times in one game than his total 6 years of coach as an epiphany....

Everyone seems so quick to put this change on wanting Wade Wilson's brilliant eyes above that it feels like a script and makes me wonder if something else is going on. Like Garrett wanted to be more involved in the playcalling process, which makes sense. I would guess Callahan still calls the plays but Garrett may veto plays or tell Callahan what he wants (like run or pass).

What Jerry said was about wade in the booth outside of that you come off with these stupid remarks Jerry said nothing about the play calling and who was making the call. Callahan is OC he is calling plays Jason is getting the plays and is HC he is able to change the calls if he see fit. Nothing wild and crazy about that, I'm not even saying garrett has changed any calls only that this gives him more say not less as you seem to think.

I showed you directly from post game what Garrett said, yes Wade in an extra set of eyes in the booth Phillips goes down to the sideline and now instead of Wade getting the call it is Garrett and yet that is a demotion? LOL

Of course it is. Callahan has been an NFL OC and HC for many years with very good offenses in the past. The idea that he needs help in reading coverages is absurd.

For some reason Gary Gibbs comes to mind... Maybe David Lee?

The only way to remember is who they talked about helping with reviews and the challenge flag since we didn't have coordinators up there... Unless Carthon did that one year? Don't remember that though.

Now I am really curious who was in the boothe under parcells..

Off of memory I am thinking Chris Palmer was up there in 06, but I can not remember at all who was up there in 05. I remember seemingly everybody with an important job on the sideline!

I think Sparano may have been up there when he was the TE coach. Pasqualoni may have been up there after that. Mike MacIntyre may have also spent some time up there.

Yes I am pretty sure carthon was up there in 04. Since Payton was the qb coach and lee was the quality control guy it makes sense lee would have been up there

Now that you say it, yep, I think Paul P was up there.

It makes sense to have a guy who is involved in the passing game up there. You need one guy plus some help from the d coaches looking at the oline and another focusing on coverages and receivers. I think having the guy most in tune with romo up top makes a lot of sense.

My real concern was not running the ball despite having the lead averaging 6 ypc and difficult conditions. However I was delighted with the use of play action. Our run game was really impressive.

"it’s just not when we’re in empty, obviously that’s Romo all the way"

So is Jerry saying that when we are in the empty formation (5 WRs and Romo in shotgun) that Romo is calling all of the plays?

Dont we run like 70% of our plays out of shotgun 5 WRs?

So has Romo passed Opie as the official offensive coordinator at this point?
