Jerry sees McCarthy and Zimmer as a package deal

True, good point.

Speaking for myself, I don't think I can stomach another season of the same crew (Dak, Mike, Zimmer etc).

I'd prefer another coach, even at the risk of being worse, simply so I have a reason to watch again. The prospect of change and potential improvement is better to me than status quo.
You speak for me also.
Well said.

How are you doing, cowboy brother, have a great holiday, I was in a really bad mood. The other day we were discussing Jimmy and Jerry, I had just got a tetanus shot and a flu shot. And I was miserable. No grudges hold.
Holy crap that’s strange. I was gonna say the same just now. Dead serious. Didn’t expect to hear it first. This clown gets me nuts sometimes. We are on the same side and all good.

Jerry supported Garrett all the way out the door..

Nothing would surprise me with the Jones’s.

Dak is the dark cloud hanging over this organization right now. Would be nice if we could get a fresh start but instead we’re trying to scrap a team together with a QB who isn’t much better than Rush in terms of getting results.

I agree. It’s abundantly clear whose fault it is. My point is we can’t do anything about but complain. And Im not saying we should accept it. But at some point you either lower your expectations or you can’t even enjoy a game .

I refuse to let him totally destroy the 60 minutes of action each week I tune in to watch. It’s the only partial escape I have from the total mess he’s created.

The rest of the week we can totally bash him and call it out. Otherwise we might as well move on and watch something else.

I learned how to be this apathetic fan for my Alma mater who suks most of the time. All you have left is game day. When you lose that you’ve lost it all and have no enjoyment at all in playing the game .

Thanks to Couch Coach years ago for making me realize that’s really all we have left as Cowboy fans with our terrible owner and GM.
I'm the same way. I can compartmentalize and be a Cowboy fan and not a Jerry Jones fan. Most of my venting is directed at Jerry, the buffoons he hires, and the decisions he makes........ Otherwise, I try to attend one game a year and I rarely ever miss one on TV. He is a mere steward of the team. It was around long before he arrived and it will be long after he's departed the planet. Jerry is not the Dallas Cowboys, and criticism of him is a way of honoring the franchise and its storied history. Thats how I see it.

So you question bringing back coaches who look good against sub-500 teams (Giants, Bengals, Carolina), teams without their starting QB (Steelers) and teams who give games away due to questionable coaching (Commanders); but get pasted by the more competitive teams. And of course the Cowboys are again among the league leaders in penalties (4th most)…that’s great coaching.
Yeah…that sounds like Jones logic…take the path of least resistance; maintain the status quo; delude oneself into thinking the team is one-step away from contending for a championship.
Yep sucks

The only discord in not keeping both is these fools on picking better candidates for the job. Now that Bill is gone it’s a crap shoot. I can’t see these fools working with some young up and comer. Can you imagine Ben Johnson sitting in meetings with these old geezers grilling him? Making roster decisions like starting RB etc?….

Guys we crushed the Giants on prime time. Trounced the Panthers. All this without an MVP QB. We are right around the rim. You gotta run this back right?

Yeah, absolutely. Lol.
But what are they gonna call it since they've already ran it back once and already used all in?
What's the 2025 catchy Tshirt slogan?

I seriously have my doubts about this FO doing any better than what we presently have in house in the offseason. The players have responded to the hard times this year in a surprisingly positive way, all things considered. Hopefully, the upcoming draft might provide some useful help that is needed on both sides of the ball. I'm sure both McCarthy and Zimmer will be relieved to see another opportunity to succeed.

And Johnson will have enough options that he won't have to settle for this job -- and will probably command more salary than Jerry will pay anyway -- so it would be someone else with even less clout.

Really, I meant it. I’ve never had a situation before where I was inclined to do that. I sign on with the thought to do so as it was bugging me and see that you beat me to it. Class act. I’ll quit before someone tells us to get a room lol.

I am originally from the old Cowboys fan forum . Never press the report button. I’ve only done it once since I’ve been here. The first week I had a big blowout with the stash. And I felt so bad. I did the same thing to him. I have a few people on ignore here. They don’t deserve any consideration of respect. . I’ve been a fan since the 60s since my military days how could I not love the star Roger Staubach, Mr. cowboy , Tom Landry. But I think there’s a few that come here to do nothing but troll. Anyways class, my cowboy brother I’m out.
