He's not their boss, but the Cowboys contract is incredibly valuable. The Fan was a new station and just trying to get a foothold until they got the Cowboys contract. That and all that goes with it allowed their ratings to jump.

That's why Jerry feels they owe him something. And I'm not saying he's right, or that they are obligated to kiss his boots. But being associated with the team has benefited that station tremendously.
sure it has but now 14 years later they can stand on thier own ...Jerry cant tell them to stop talking about the Cowboys, very few of the stations fans give a crap if Jerry is on the radio...look at the ticket the same thing happened 14 years ago and they are just fine...this market can hold 3 to 4 sports stations there are only 2 so they will be fine.

He doesn't have to deal with them anymore. Their loss, not his. He can easily find someone else to talk to. He should. His business. His rules. You don't like it? Go follow another team.
He doesn’t. But in doing so it shows himself to be a petty person who isn’t strong enough mentally at this point to take tough questions from journalists about his failing football team.

He also shows himself to be a vindictive dbag essentially threatening the hosts.

It’s pretty embarrassing to find a person defending Jerry but you’ve long been an irrational homer so it is no surprise you are slurping at the altar of Jerry.

Good point. Tbh he needs the media more than they need him. Sports talk can still comment and do shows about the Cowboys without Jerry's access, but Jerry can't sell his bs without a platform. It's a two way street and he's treated it like a favor, probably forever.
100% right, and I think that The Ticket in Dallas has proven that even the small guys can be successful without him.

But Jerry needs the media. We all know he can't keep this team relevant without their attention.

Shut it and go follow another team. This is Jerry's business. If you don't like it or how he runs it, man up and go elsewhere.
No, you shut it.

We all have the right to call out Jerry for his boorish behavior on radio this week and crappy construction of this team.

Literally every media person, unless paid by Jerry, both national and local has accurately ripped him for being an *** to the radio hosts and also for his complete failure as a GM.

You are such a homer you are incapable of even criticizing the franchise and Jerry when they/he most deserve it.

You might want to look inside yourself and ask yourself why you are such mindless cult member of Jerry Jones.

A coward? Or brave to do what is best for him and his business? Bad press is always bad for business.
The stupidity in this comment is breathtaking.

What’s bad for business is lying to the fans, fielding an inadequate team and then throwing a hissy fit when media types RIGHTFULLY question him, the GM, on the decisions they made.

Him getting pissy and threatening to leave the show doesn’t suddenly make the questions go away. Him being a baby doesn’t change the fact his team is struggling, the team HE BUILT. Threatening the radio hosts for asking him fair questions about his and his teams failures isn’t going to suddenly make everyone stop calling out his failures as GM.

Holy crap, dude.

the fans should call the show and ask the same questions and threaten that they will not purchase jersey's and watch cowboys....

he will hear those.
I don't think Jerry has taken live calls on his show since this epic moment back when the Ticket had it with the great -- and I do mean great -- John in Plano:

Which also makes it kind of funny that he said he could take criticism from fans but not "people he's paying." No, Jerry, apparently you can't.

Hey, everyone is responsible for their actions, including radio guys.
LOL. Their job is to ask the GM questions about the team. The team is scuffling. The team lacks talent because of decisions the GM made.

But here you are saying they shouldn’t do their job and that because they did, they should be fired.

You have to be related to Jerry. There is no explanation for this level of loyalty.

He does no such thing. He's not their boss, he's their guest and he doesn't own the show, the station, or pay them anything.
Why do all of the stories keep mentioning that they work for him?

Look, speaking for myself, a big reason why I'm so angry about this season is because I knew it was going to be bad from the lack of activity. I am angry about the lack of effort from Jerry in the offseason. And seeing him say what he said to the radio people who were simply asking questions that I think were needed was low imo.

I can accept a bad season or two. Heck, I'm 31. I've never really seen success with this team. It's par for the course for me. If Jerry is doing his best and it doesn't work out, I can live with that.

As for the lack of effort, I would feel much better if this was part of a plan to try to build some talent. I would feel better, for example, if the plan was, instead of DH, he was trying to position the team for Jeanty and some better NTs. I can accept that. I'm just bothered because I don't really see the effort from him, and I don't like feeling that way.

And let's note that Jerry is getting killed by national media types, some of whom have been allies of Jerry. So this isn't just a couple of fans here upset at Jerry.

What Jerry did was so embarrassing that he's basically lost the national media, even those that would often give him wide leeway.

But hey America's Cowboy says Jerry did good. LOL. I guess that's all we need to know at this point.

If this team loses to San Fran, it's going to be ugly and Jerry is going to get fried and in that happening, he's going to show himself to be even more of a donkey. He's going to become even more defensive, more arrogant, more stubborn, etc.

He's trying to Jedi Mind Trick the fans again...by appealing to the SOFT HEADED IDIOTS who are going to say, "See...Jerry puts the "fans" first.

LOL...and when does the average fan have the time, knowledge and platform to question Jerry?

Any idiot who laps this up...gets what they deserve. DISPICABLE.

TO ME...this is worthy of soft boycott.

The wheels are coming off more rapidly than anyone could have forseen.
Jerry went full steam as long as he could, and now he is running out fast.
He's completely conflated the 4th estate with HIS OWN PERSONAL STAFF. WHAT DE ....?!? Sounds like some of his buddies in politics. It's not YOUR JOB to tell them THEIR JOB. Their job is to keep YOU honest...not the other way around.

hmmm, but fans can call the show and talk and complain to the hosts...Jerry listens to those, specially if it gets picked up by the local media. Jerry as a marketing man is highly tuned to what the market is telling him.

Funny thing is if Jerry simply got mad at the questions, it a non story. But he had to bring up "replacing" the guys asking him questions and keeps digging that hole.
Dude is a top 1% narcissist.

Im really kinda surprised by his support. It must be all about his support of Dak.

Perhaps Jethro can get the national guard to round up all of his opponents who call him out and criticize as they must be the enemy. Somewhere we’ve seen this type of narcissistic and fascist bullying before.
