You’re confusing business with passion. People are not fans of a team for logical reasons, but almost always emotional.

I, and many of us here on the zone, follow the Cowboys because of what they represented in their past. At their best they are quintessentially American. My grandmother who lives the tiny Oklahoma town where Troy Aikman was raised brought me to the Dallas Cowboys. It is quite simply a part of me. I cannot just up and leave and neither can most of us here. How you do not understand this is beyond me.

What they have become and how this organization is managed is nothing we can be proud to associate with. What it has come to represent in its modern form is disgusting.
This is what I’m trying to explain.

We can’t just pack up and leave. Wish I could some days. Jerry has made this team into a money maker. Problem is. That’s his priority.

Invokes how he fired Dale Hansen in the 90s. Dark times ahead.

NFL needs to remind JJ that these types of acts of bulling people aren't going to be tolerated and that he may end up like Dan Snyder if he doesn't stand the F#$%K down. NFL already has a couple of black eyes with their involvement in politics and the two different Anthems they play in important games. So they don't need out of control owner threatening people over the airwaves that NFL FANS listen to and are pissed off over because one of the team owner's inability to act like a normal human being instead of some raging senile idiot!

Then he shouldnt have sat on his hands during FA and told the locker room the doesnt care about winning, then expect sunshine and rainbows then the team allows the most points at home over a 3 game span in the history of the franchise.
Right? Fix the product and it will fix the bad press. Crazy idea.

Certainly. Simply stop following or supporting the Cowboys. Go follow another team.

Why haven't any of the Jerry haters not done this, especially after everyone knows the Cowboys will forever remain owned by the Jerry Jones family?
It's very simple. It is not the Jones family. The jones family is awesome and are great owners. The fan beef is with Jerry specifically as GM.

Jerry is not the Dallas Cowboys. He is a temporary steward of the team. The Cowboys existed long before him and will long after him. If the team remains in the Jones family after his death, there is every indication a professional GM would be hired as only Jerry has the ego that eclipses the size of Texas.

What is the “indication a professional GM would be hired”? “every indication”? I don’t see any indication that would happen. What do you see of have heard?

Stephen Jones will become the next GM.

Jerry's kids are nothing like Jerry. It's pretty obvious. Why would they assume personnel duties? What have YOU heard?

I see no indication they have advised their father to turn duties over to a professional GM. Just because they are not like their father does not mean they would not enjoy running an NFL franchise in a similar manner to how their Dad, Jerry Jones does it now.

Have you seen Stephen? He may be worse. He thinks he’s part GM and cap master now

I listened to the interview again today, and this is an all time Jerry meltdown. You really love to see it.

Shan handled the entire thing so great. They hinted that if Jerry comes on the air Tuesday, they may consider letting him take questions from callers since he wants to hear from the "real fans" so badly.
