It boggles the mind how JJ thought it was a good idea to let a rookie coach 'learn on the fly' while he had guys like Romo, Witten, Ware, etc. in their primes. This wasn't even a re-building team but he thought "hell, let him make a mistake or two (which end up costing us every year". I have a feeling that even if we go 4-12 this year Garrett will still somehow keep his job while the dozen assistants will get the ax
He's wasted the best years of our star players. He'll be starting on the next generation soon.

That's the result of fans truly believing that the things these guys say in press conferences generally matter.
THEY DON'T.
Jerry's job when speaking to the press is to a) sell the team to the fans...
Welcome, by the way.
I don't think it boggles the mind. When Wade failed, Jerry had a choice, hire someone who he was comfortable with (with someone like Wade or Jason) or go back to walking on eggshells (with someone like Parcells who he would have to make concession to). Jerry chose the path of least resistance.
Jerry just wants to be comfortable, have fun with this toy, and be the face of the franchise. Garret not only lets him do that, but also puts up with inane comments like the one that started this thread.
It all makes perfect sense.
Lol this thread is going to be a classic.
I'm pretty sure Jerry won't be around thenRed will win us a SB in 20 years and it'll end up like it did with Jimmy.
I'm pretty sure Jerry won't be around then
Um, do you see the disconnect there? lol...
