Funny how he didn't seem to lose a step when he bailed out Romo by tackling the guy who intercepted him in the endzone when they played the Packers (despite being knocked down at the 5, he got up and caught up to the guy).

Same game... if he's lost a step and can still run step-for-step with Felix Jones, protecting him from defenders, he's still a step faster than any of the WRs on the roster that can actually get on the field.

Well in all fairness he only loses those steps when he deems the season or the game is over...

He is fast after getting his motor going, but he has to get going first unlike young quick fast starters. We need speed to laterally get open.TO is good for bombs, otherwise, blah.

That comment tells me a lot about YOUR IQ... guess we didn't win 13 games with that coordinator in 2007, and everybody was hailing him as the next great offensive mind in the game, and he was being interviewed for head coaching jobs...

Bet you wouldn't have been insulting him after that season, rendering your criticism right now less than compelling...
Any idiot can throw it up when you have an all star cast offense. It's when the other teams figure it out that will determine if you're a genius or not, Garrett is FAR from a genius.

I'm nixing that question. He can whine about Terrell Owens absence as much as he wants as long as he keeps Halle in his sig. Man, she looks good!

Does being figured out have any meaning in your vocabulary? Even TO said Garrett failed to adjust, meaning what Garrett did worked two seasons ago, but it wasn't working now. In fact, it began to fail last year when TO was injured and teams realized this offense bled and died with TO. It is like people saying the 4-6 defense was great in 1984. Well, the WCO made it almost defunct and put Buddy Ryan out of a job.Further, Garrett only re-vamped the passing game in 2007, and when he took on the all the responsibility of the offense, it looked horrible.

Bold--> I agree 100%. Good thing he's gone for that reason. Perhaps the entire offense will get showcased in '09. Who knows?
Owens inspired disclaimer in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...

What opponents figured out is that the Boys were gonna force the ball to TO... try to imagine what TO would have done if Garrett HAD "adjusted" to that, meaning that TO was used more as a decoy...

TO was a great asset but time has taken control. It does with everyone.TO has lost a step, and that step is worth a lot in the NFL.TO was not getting open last year.OLINE did suck but TO didnt get open on the short routes cause he isnt laterally quick anymore. He needs a running start.Miles and the lil slot PR/WR we draft willmix the passing game up.

Good gosh for a guy who has lost a step he is still about 10 steps better than everyone else.

Our biggest problem was how we used the guy and our receivers in general.

TO's physical abilities are still second to none.

TO was basically used as a decoy.

He ran defenders off on nearly every single play and we threw it to Witten underneath.

We wouldn't even get him the ball sometimes the entire first half because all we would try to do is check it down.

He was a hell of a decoy.

My biggest problem is the overall way we used him. Sending him down field every play asking him to beat the jam.

Teams do that stuff to Fitzgerald and the Cardinals will drag him across the field, send him in motion, or just pick you apart in the flats if you want to sell out on Larry.

We didn't do that with Owens. We rarely ever threw a swing pass to the RB in the flats. It was always something down field. Always something into coverage.

Everything in Dallas is fine.
We have found and got rid of our Weapon of Mass DESTRUCTION.

All is well.

I repeat nothing is wrong in Dallas. Things are exactly the way they have been since Jerry has been coaching... er... I mean owning this team.

Now a word from Mike Tyson:
Our Offensive Line is impregnable.
Our Running Game is unstoppable.
Our Receiving Core is abominable.
Our Coaching Staff is irrefutable.

Next Question.

I have to disagree with you on this.TO was the best and peaked 2003-2007.He just wasnt getting quick seperation unless he was going on long long routes. He isnt laterally quick anymore and guys would just bump him.Dont u think if he was open Romo would have thrown it to him more.Although i am not sure that is even possible.Romo throws to the open guy.Now RW11 wasnt getting seperation either, but he can be a great possesion type wr like Meshawn.Miles gets seperation and our new whippet pr/slot wr from the draft will.Marion Barber will be mvp of our team this year either or.

I wish he laterally ran routes but everything we did with him was straight down field.

We didn't drag him across the field much, we never ran slants to him, and when we threw him a dig route it was usually far enough down field to where the safety could easily get to him after the corner had already sold out on doing nothing but bumping him.

We used TO so poorly along with every other receiver on this team.

Had we "forced" him the ball like everyone insists we did than I would hope Jason wouldn't have been stupid enough to force it to him 15 yards down field every time because thats the only type of routes he ran.

Do you even get the implication? TO gave credit to Garrett for 2007 and the potent Cowboy offense. So I guess that isn't true?
