Jerry's having a good year

Please: If Jerry has stumbled into a few good choices, it doesn't make up for the fact that he is, overall, a terrible owner and a terrible GM. His record of failure since the Super Bowl Years - 30 years! - is embarrassing and shameful. Jerry is mainly interested in Jerry - not the performance and reputation of the Cowboys.
Agree. We know that last year fans were saying Eagles' wunderkind GM Howie Roseman was "having a good year." And they won a SB. I guess the expectation now is the Cowboys should win the Super Bowl in February.
Makes sense -- A GM has a "good year" and the organization should make a deep playoff run. Right?

Never said it makes up for anything McFly. Read the title again.

i'm really not certain how you can say that considering the defenses he led, coupled with the fact he didn't get to play with an offense like this, coupled with the fact he barely got to play with Overshown. I'm happy with how the team looks, i'm thrilled with Q and having him moving forward, but i don't get the logic thrown around here whatsoever.
Sorry to hear that.

and seemingly without any concern for the fans.
Please try harder to have an ego, fans are not entitled to be considered in any moves made by any sports franchise ,

This isn't your local restaurant where you hope that they keep making your favorite food it's on the menu and you get upset when they took it off the menu without asking you lmao

Being serious, I think our fan base it's just ego driven,

your egomaniacal expectations are insane, your heads are as big as the state ,that is not what most owners and GM's do when they're making decisions, have fans on their mind...

That's the only thing they should be thinking about is trying to put a winning product on the field, so that way they put fans in the seats and fans buy jerseys fans spend money on the team ..

You know but outside of that, they should never keep fans in mind when they're making decisions, and I think that's been one of Jerry's biggest downfalls, all he cared, was putting a good enough team on the field to keep the fans interested, and he would make moves that way ,that is not the way you make moves getting rid of Parsons, that was a business decision, and a very good one for the team ,not the fans ,

it had to be done...

Everything else you said that makes sense we get it There's always some head scratching going on with Jerry but acting like fans should be involved in decisions absolutely the opposite...

I’ve been critical of Jerry the GM but you have to admit, he’s done a good job this year.

Draft pick hits: Tyler Booker, Donovan Ezeiruaku, Shavon Revel, Shemar James. (Not giving up on Jaydon Blue)

Free agents: Kenneth Murray(playing better than given credit for), Sanborn before he got injured, Javonte Williams, Osawaru Odighizuwa, Dante Fowler, James Houston, Perrion Winfrey, Hakeem Adeniji, Joe Milton

Trades: Quinnen Williams, George Pickens, Kenny Clark, Jadaveon Clowney, Logan Wilson

Jettisoned: Parsons for 2 1st round picks and Clark, sent Mazi packing.

Coaches: Brian Shottenheimer and his coaching staff. Jerry to the risk in giving Schotty the chance he deserved.

All these players are either starters or solid depth.

I agree that Jerry is having a good year

But Sanborn is awful

That you don’t get the logic that the team is better off without Parsons.
i mean they're 6-5-1 lol. there's just not really an argument to be made at this point. they look great, the future is bright, and they have a real opportunity to do something special, but as of yet... no. it's just talk. the only concrete thing that can be said is that they're better against the run.

Not talk. Watch the last 3 games.

The season is 17 games long.

Our playoff chances are 17% right now. You can't erase all the dumb and stupid things Jerry did immediately after the 2024 season ended and just focus on the last three games to prove he's done a great job.

That's literally the most homer thing a person could do.

yeah three games = talk. we saw micah led teams have incredible stretches. it needs to be sustained. i'm hopeful it will. until it is though, and leads to something fruitful yes. just talk. enjoy to your hearts content though.

This fanbase is behaving like the team is 10-2. Its sad to see how mediocre expectations have become for this franchise, they make them looks like its on pair with the Browns or Jaguars.
I kinda think the fan base is behaving like the team just beat both of last years superbowl champions in back to back weeks and has a chance at a run that could end the season on a high note.

This does appear to be the case. At least for now. But this isn't like the Walker trade. Jerry stepped into this one by accident. But I do agree. He is having a good year.

I’m loving it. Never had this type of defense with Parsons. Teams would just run at him. Quinn designed the entire defense around Parsons and they could never stop the run. Zimmer understood and tried to change it and the defense actually played better towards the end of the year. Then the contract went to both Parsons and Jerrys head and here we are. Better off. But that’s just my laymen’s opinion.
