Jerry's having a good year

We are the only people in the world that say this.. lol

It has been pointed out to me a few times.. that it's I couldn't care less.. which makes a lot more sense when you think about it.

Not sure why we started saying it the way we do.
Yeah I just like to bug people when they say it, cause it implies they care a little at least LOL

Natural Gas Man is the reason we have had 30 years of mediocrity occasionally poisoned by stinking and occasionally leavened by above average..
The NGM bots are amusing

If don't make Playoffs, season a failure. No guarantees Pickens and Javonte back, and the same. No guarantees Q, Dak, CeeDee, Overshown, etc are healthy next year.

I feel sorry for you.

I kinda stopped after you suggesting Murray is playing well. Oof.

Wasn't Clowney a signing, not a trade?

This, all I have heard on different threads was about how terrible Murray (one post said he was worse than Jalen Smith), so I can’t rubber stamp that one.

I’ve been critical of Jerry the GM but you have to admit, he’s done a good job this year.

Draft pick hits: Tyler Booker, Donovan Ezeiruaku, Shavon Revel, Shemar James. (Not giving up on Jaydon Blue)

Free agents: Kenneth Murray(playing better than given credit for), Sanborn before he got injured, Javonte Williams, Osawaru Odighizuwa, Dante Fowler, James Houston, Perrion Winfrey, Hakeem Adeniji, Joe Milton

Trades: Quinnen Williams, George Pickens, Kenny Clark, Jadaveon Clowney, Logan Wilson

Jettisoned: Parsons for 2 1st round picks and Clark, sent Mazi packing.

Coaches: Brian Shottenheimer and his coaching staff. Jerry to the risk in giving Schotty the chance he deserved.

All these players are either starters or solid depth.
You were going good, then started listing players, some who wouldn’t sniff playing time on other teams. Others , who we have no idea one way or another.

Kenneth Murray and Sanborn are two of the worst LBs in the NFL. Fowler has been iffy, but ok. James I’m in the middle on, but ok. Winfrey, Adeniji, and Milton we wouldn’t know.

Just your opinion.

That is 30 years back this is now. If you want to carry a grudge...
No, it is actually every year for the past 30 years,. In other words we didn't win a divisional game in 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, or 1996.

The LAST one was 30 years ago. In other words the last time we won one (a good thing) was 1995. The last time we could celebrate going to even an NFC Championship game was 30 years ago.

I thought I would give you the actual visual representation of what Jerry's failure as a GM has been.

Edit: Sorry to post that for those that realize what it actually means. Kind of hurts when you look at it that way.

A man gets caught cheating on his wife.

He buys her a brand new car. He sends flowers to her twice a week. He lets his mother-in-law move in despite her highly vocal criticism of him and his actions.

His wife decides to stay.

Is that a good year?

Jerry Jones ripped out the heart of his defense a week before the beginning of the season. To say that it did not have a profound effect on their early performance is naive if not deliberately false.

So, after the bye, he collects some great talent that can be responsible for winning in the second half of the season.

Fine and dandy but if the Cowboys fail to make the playoffs, you can attribute that to a 2-3-1 start to the season and that is directly on the head of Jerry Jones.

It's not just the talent of Parsons that was missing. It goes far deeper.

The timing of that trade and the manner in which it was done had to affect the confidence and morale of that defense no matter their level of professionalism.

And so, a large part of that early 2-3-1 record are the repercussion of Jerry's decision to trade Parsons and so is their inability to make the playoffs should that occur.

That cheating husband can do everything possible to make up for his mistake and perhaps his wife will forgive him but only if they manage to survive the emotional repercussions of his actions to their marriage.

In either case, I wouldn't characterize it as "A good year".

All GMs make good decisions. One really bad decision can make all of them irrelevant.

No. That's not 30 years back. That is 30 years ongoing. Which means we are still in the midst of it.

And what are we in the midst of? Never getting close to winning anything meaningful.

If you want to celebrate being a game over .500 then by all means. But don't expect the masses to fawn all over the man responsible for the team being losers for 30 years and counting.
One game at a time. You have every right to be a fan your way. All the best

understand what your saying I've been here too. Everybody gets to be the fan their way. I'm ready to have a good time. You and the other fella do it your way.

Only way Dallas makes the playoffs is for help from some other teams to knock the current wild card teams out.

They'd have to win a playoff game or its a failure.

Lets wait to see how they play on the road, good teams wins at home, great teams win on the road and this cowboys team hasn't done that this year.
