Go look at the revenue this team pulls in for him and tell me that.

Its been said to you a thousand times and you dont want to listen. Jones doesnt care if this team is good or not. He cares about how much it takes in. You guys think he is an idiot because you want him to be something he is. He is not. The more you think he is an idiot, the more he has you in a string
Jerry is a football idiot. This has been proven for nearly 30 years he took over the GM reigns.

I firmly believe that the GB game upset Jerry to no end. I feel like he was so angry that he made a decision that he was going to do nothing in this off-season.
Sorry but that’s utterly ridiculous.

The front office is simply not good enough or smart enough to build a playoff team. There is no conspiracy, it is what it is, a crap owner who is clueless on what it takes to make a real run. He rather remain relevant than build an actual contender.

IF you realize Jerry is still winning by the media destroying him.

It isn't. He isn't embarrassed at all. The Cowboys are TERRIBLE and he is still the talk of the NFL. That is the best of both worlds for Jerry.
This is true the crap owner actually feeds on the negative and thinks embarrassment is a good thing for his team.

He is also a business idiot if he doesnt realize the Cowboys doing WELL would make him more PROFIT.
People don't speak on this enough. They say Jerry is a great owner because he makes a ton of money. The Dallas Cowboys were already a well established franchise with extreme popularity and being polarized nationwide before he got there. How some tell the story, Jerry is some underdog hero story who took some lowly team like the Lions and built them into some superpower. Far from the truth.

I give Jerry credit for two moves. Firing Landry (it needed to be done) and hiring Jimmy. That's it. Jimmy took over the reigns and built that team to what it was. Hired a great staff. Jerry stayed out the way. But after the 2 rings, Jerry's ego saw no one mentioned him. He hated that and he undid everything Jimmy built. So Jerry giveth and Jerry taketh away.

I don't give Jerry any real credit for making a ton of money with the Cowboys. The NFL is a cash cow and prints its own money. No team loses money, ever. The Cowboys brand was huge before he got there and will be huge long after he is gone.

Great businessmen make decisions for the best of their company as a whole and put them in the best chance to succeed. Jerry doesn't. Jerry only makes decisions that benefit him. And the fans suffer because of it.

But is winning actually cost effective when you dont have to win to generate almost twice as much revenue as the next most profitable team?

Its been obvious for decades. Yet there has been no need for him to change
Well sure, the need will never arise. He owns the team and will never fire himself.

But he will die with his legacy being undoing everything the Cowboys built from the 60s-90s. No one gives him credit for the 3 rings. He knows this, which is why he wants to do it his way and will die before he does it any other way.

To say it doesn't bother him, though, not so sure about that. This season is definitely taking a toll. He's usually happy go lucky with the media. Not this year. Threatening to fire local radio hosts, speaking nonsensical garbage yesterday about the sun. Oh, it's bothering him. Enough to make a change to step aside? Nope because that's how egotistical maniacs work.

He was going to keep all the current coaches, keep everything status quo, and make the players and coaches pay for embarrassing him. You can see it in his interviews taking no accountability, allowing players to throw coaches under the bus, and simply just sitting back and watching this dumpster fire happen.

You can tell he's not even upset. He planned this all. He doesn't care. He literally threw a tantrum like a toddler and we are watching the result of that.
They may get the number 1 pick. If not, close to it.

Why wouldnt it be cost effective?

FA and signing players doesnt COST Jerry a dime. Its part of a salary cap.

Its not like he is going into his wallet and paying Dak out of his personal bank account.

There were reports after the GB loss that Jerry wanted to fire MM and was talked out of it. He is also cheap, delusional and a buffoon.

Bring back the HC for the final year of his contract with no extension. He made him a lame duck and then had to hire a DC for one yr who would work under that situation. Enter out of work, retread Zim who was known by the organization and fit the bill.

Then do nothing to upgrade the team or replace the players who left. It was intentional but no real plan. If there was a plan it will go down as one of the worst in league history.

LOL.

He saddled Mike with a broken roster, no RB, waited all off-season to sign his 2 most important players, and signed a DC on a 1 year deal.

Tell me what you think that looks like.
He didn't want to spend after spending and losing but no way he thought out, mmm they embarassed me so I am going to lose deliberately to stick it to them.

Yep. This is what he did after he ruined the 90s Dynasty a chance at football immortality - Football's first 3-peat in the SB era.

Looks like KC will take care of that this year. Classic gambler who hit it early...and then keeps chasing their tail into debt.
