Do I need to remind y'all of his recent radio interview and the threats he made? Does that sound like a man who doesn't wield immense power, ego or hold grudges?
Nothing wrong with power or ego. The greatest humans to ever walk the planet had both in spades!

Nope. There was no temper tantrum. Jerry just really thought this team was better/good enough.

Jerry Jones cannot afford the luxury of sacrificing a season to prove a point. I think he fully understands the concept of mortality at this point of his life.

He at least thought they would’ve been good enough to remain relevant and likely make the playoffs. I dont know how anyone could think the team improved and were a legit SB contender.

Its all about money and then relevancy with them. He was even content with trying to sell the Garrett 8-8 season ending games as a pseudo-playoff game, in it til the end.

But anyone paying attention could see the team was much worse this year and at best could win 8 or 9 games, unless the wheels came off, which they have.

Jerry is no fool, regardless of what we all think of him…
However, he is getting older and with old age come times when people act and make decisions that they wouldn’t have years before.
He’s made plenty of bad decisions in the past, but I think most of us would agree he did them with genuine belief they would improve the team and push us towards a Super Bowl.
Lately though, the decisions he’s making are irrational and he seems to be unraveling and is now at a level of an owner that Al Davis became.
Why oh why he decided to sign Dak to that contract on the day of the new season, only he knows… but it’s one of many that’s killed this team, not just for this season but for at least two more seasons to come.

Billion dollar stadium and the GD sun shining through windows are STILL affecting plays. Jones is a moron.
people criticized him for that. instead of fixing the problem, he is being stubborn not to change it with his whole schpill!!! on why its not a bad idea. he will never ever admit he was wrong

I firmly believe that the GB game upset Jerry to no end. I feel like he was so angry that he made a decision that he was going to do nothing in this off-season. He was going to keep all the current coaches, keep everything status quo, and make the players and coaches pay for embarrassing him. You can see it in his interviews taking no accountability, allowing players to throw coaches under the bus, and simply just sitting back and watching this dumpster fire happen.

You can tell he's not even upset. He planned this all. He doesn't care. He literally threw a tantrum like a toddler and we are watching the result of that.
The all in comments were just the cherry on top.

I would say that the recent trend of stringing out negotiations and VFA frugality is not Jerry.

The Cowboys are run by committee. The above stinks of Stephen not Jerry, McClay, or whoever else is counseling them at any time..

So, the theory is he would be so embarrassed by losing in the playoffs he would react like you say, but he wouldn't be embarrassed by the team collapsing completely?

Jerry obviously isn't a good GM, but it doesn't make sense to suggest that the reaction to his displeasure was to make himself look worse.

Nor does it make sense that he would give Dak and Lamb massive contracts & keep McCarthy if that's how he felt. Those things are rewards, not 'making them pay".

As for not being upset, he blew up at a media guy who questioned him recently, and he was clearly flustered and struggling to respond to questions after the game yesterday.
