Jersey Swapping

I'm an old-school fan and I don't like the Jersey swap, I don't like the end zone celebrations, I don't like the fact that you can't hit anyone, I don't like players on Twitter and I don't like comedians on the pregame show. With all that said I still like the game of football

To us football is life to the players it's a job nobody hates their opponents anymore and they shouldn't they are playing the same game we all played as kids.

Speaking of end zone celebrations by 8-9 members of the scoring team, why have we not seen the defending team try to break these up? Yes I saw a meek attempt by Dallas vs Philly but other than that nada. Has that been ruled against or something?

Adult men who we’re NEVER EVER gonna play at the NFL level, criticizing those who, do out of some sort of “hate your enemy” fantasy, because these players show respect for their colleagues in an ENTERTAINMENT business, are laughable.

Seriously...get a life, and do the world some good.

Might as well help all of your opponents up after you knock them down, can't wait to see that after every play.

I can't stand it. Here are two opponents battling it out for 60 minutes and then exchange signed jerseys at the end of the game. Just doesn't look right in my opinion.

I can see congratulating each other and a quick exchange of words, but swapping jerseys is just too much.

Do the swap in the locker room but get that stuff off the field.

Football is more enjoyable when you know both opponents can't stand each other compared to when opponents are best friends.

Is it any different than the teams getting together in a prayer circle and praying together after battling for 60 minutes?

I like it, but then I am also a massive English football fan where this sort of stuff happens a lot. I think it's a sign of respect to each other. To me, just because players swap jerseys doesn't mean there's no anger to each other. I mean, I've seen Chelsea and Man U matches where they swap unis, and they're bigger rivals than we are with the Eagles.

I think the rivalries are more between the fans than players.

Rivalries are dead because of this mentality. We care about them, the players don't.

You should want to break your opponent's hand not shake it. It's football. It used to be a man's game.

Free agency killed rivalries in the NFL. Players don't care b/c they change teams now like a game of musical chairs. Back in the day, when a team drafted you, that was most likely going to be your entire career.............particularly if you were any good.

This is why I love college football. The rivalries between schools are real and generational. The players and fans are far more passionate than the pros.

I don't mind. It happens after basketball games also. If I played in the league, I'd like to collect players jerseys too. Especially the good ones. I'd have a framed wall with their signed jerseys. In case one day I go broke. Haha.

I can’t imagine being so miserable that something like this would bother you. You can watch a ufc fight where 2 guys beat the living hell out of each other and then hug and embrace like best friends at the end. The jersey swap is a sign of respect to your colleagues. And If you’re not on the field sacrificing your body you should probably shut up about what is “manly” or what isn’t “real football.”...but just my 2 cents
