Jets called Cowboys about Sheldon Richardson

I just got an alert on phone about how the Jets contacted the Cowboys for a trade involving Sheldon Richardson.

also seen on Bleacher report, Dallas open to trade McFadden.

Anyone else see this?

Pass rush has been, is and will be a need for the Cowboys, but teams don’t give away pass-rushers and they cost a lot to get. I wonder if the cost will be just too prohibitive. The New York Jets have called the Cowboys about Sheldon Richardson, but he is to make $8.069 million next season as part of his fifth-year option, and has some off-field issues. (He was suspended for one game this season)

I'd pass on Richardson. Sure, he'd be an upgrade in talent. Call me a homer, but I'm drinking the RKG KoolAid that Garrett is serving.

This team has finally found the right combination of guys, and we are seeing magic on the field. Outside of an occasional Dez situation, we don't have many headaches on this team.

I'd like to keep it that way. Adding a low-maintenance, and low-risk (PR-wise) player, I'm all in. But not for a guy like Richardson.

from that article: not sure I agree with a cornerback making more sense than a pass rusher, especially if you subscribe to the notion that a good pass rush can hide a lot of holes in the secondary. and although losing Church and Mo does hurt, Scandrick looks to be returning to form and Wilcox has been playing better this year.

he can't return until the Detroit game, i wouldn't expect he will be anywhere near football shape. plus, he wasn't exactly lighting up last year
