I think they just want to go younger and already have committed resources to other dudes on the Dline...I don't think they'll be able to get a tone due to his off field blemishes...

younger?, the dude is 25 years old, are they planning on drafting high schoolers some how?

Was it wrong? Sure.

Enough to disqualify him as a member of the Cowboys? Nope. It's also the only mistake he's ever made off the field to my knowledge.

I'd have a bigger issue if Richardson was clean off the field but a pain in the butt in the locker room.

You ever run from the cops? Ever drive over 100 with a kid in the car? Can you respect that kind of judgement?

This defines a person as habitual offender -- he's used to being in these situations, and just hasn't suffered any consequences harsh enough to alter his behavior.

If I can't respect the guy's choices or priorities, then I don't want him on my team. I hope the 'Boys share that philosophy.

I'd pass on Richardson. Sure, he'd be an upgrade in talent. Call me a homer, but I'm drinking the RKG KoolAid that Garrett is serving.

This team has finally found the right combination of guys, and we are seeing magic on the field. Outside of an occasional Dez situation, we don't have many headaches on this team.

I'd like to keep it that way. Adding a low-maintenance, and low-risk (PR-wise) player, I'm all in. But not for a guy like Richardson.

But the Cowboys are not the Cowboys without a miscreant or two. :hammer:

Too pricey..........they wanted a 2nd round pick for a guy that has only 1 full season left on his contract.

Basically we get a year and a half rental for a 2nd round pick then he is an UFA and wants top 10 money or walks.

Would have loved to have him, but I understand the Cowboys not wanting to give up premium resources on a short term rental.

A 2nd round pick is insane. We really need defensive line help, but not at that price.

Yeah. You didn't hear? League opened up signing of high schoolers. Just got announced this weekend.

My bad. Thought wilkerson was younger - my mistake.

Certainly appreciate your correction and the grace with which you shared it. ;)

It is 2 years of playoffs.......the first 7 games this year could not gone much better

Then we could Franchise him for the 3rd year OR trade him to someone else OR get a 3rd comp when he left for FA

I saw it as a win-win for a 25 year old force on the DL
