NASHVILLE, Tenn. - That didn't take long.
Ty Law found himself in the starting lineup yesterday just 12 days after signing with the Jets New York Jets . The veteran played extensive minutes against the Patriots on Nov. 13, but being on the field to start the 34-13 victory over the Titans still held significance for him.

"I'm just happy that they trusted to go with me so early and I'm glad I could be a part of the win," Law said.
He exited the game just before halftime with tightness in his right hamstring, but returned for the second half. Law wrote it off to being 34 years old.

TE Chris Baker Chris Baker was yapping at the Titans sideline after Tennessee CB Chris Carr was called for his second pass interference call on the Jets' final scoring drive. Turns out, Baker was yelling at former Jet Kevin Mawae, now the Titans' starting center.
"He was upset with the call but I was yelling at him to get off the field," Baker said. "We had some more work to do. We had to finish this off."

NT Kris Jenkins left the game in the fourth quarter after twisting his left ankle but appeared fine after the game. . . . Rookie DE Vernon Gholston saw some rare action yesterday. He was credited with one assist. . . . DE Mike DeVito Mike DeVito made a nice tackle on a third-and-1 play in the first quarter, stopping Titans RB LenDale White in the backfield.

QB Brett Favre broke a tie with Hall of Famer Dan Marino by winning in his 32nd different stadium. . . . The Jets had not won five in a row since 2004, and had not won seven of eight since 1998. . . . The Jets have scored on their opening possession six straight weeks. . . . RB Thomas Jones has scored in five consecutive games. The Jets are 9-0 when he scores over the last two years. . . . TE Dustin Keller had three first-down receptions on third downs, giving him eight over the last two games. . . . WR Laveranues Coles moved past Wesley Walker and Mickey Shuler into fourth place all-time on the Jets receiving list.
