The Jets are going to try to keep this game close, then steal it at the end. They have a really good defense and can stop the run. The Cowboys will have to be patient on offense and not do what Josh Allen did.

But it is the Cowboys defense that will need to show they can stop the run especially on cutbacks and misdirection plays. I expect the Jets to go right at the Cowboys defense using double team blocks on the Cowboys DTs, especially when Hankins is out of the game. I don't think they are going to let Wilson throw the ball much, but if they get the running game going, I think they will use play action to go downfield to Garrett Wilson, who may be the best WR the Cowboys see this year.
Creeper----i agree the pressure is on our DC....Dak can be patient and we have more than enough playmakers...Dak has to get ball out quick....i think he has learned not to hang on to ball too long as we use to despair watching years past....get ball our fast to playmakers..Dak you got 2 seconds to get rid of ball max

cowboys O line ranked 9 but that was with Tyler...Jets 24 ranked O line....just scheme right and we win

I have to admit I too still have a question about our run defense. The Jets are going to test that run defense on Sunday, and
I'm really anxious to see McCarthy's "Texas Coast" offense in action.
Go Cowboys!
i just looked up and cowboys O line ranked 9...Jets 24 but our O line included Tyler...but Edoga with Bass and Asim can hold fort down....its how we scheme

before with Garret no such thing....he was so delusionallly stuck in the 90's ( just beat the man in front of you regardless if he is better and no waves of players

just next man up when one goes down).....our new DC plays everyone at different times depending....and if Dak gets rid of ball fast we will be ok on offense

we will cover spread...and just a little better and we are in BEATDOWN TOWN.....any thoughts on this ?

i have alwyas had questions about our run defense....but we adjust as good as any team NFL.....our achille's would be rushing passer too fast up the middle

and leaving sides and flats open....i am sure coaches are way more aware than us guys????...right????....this is no longer Red Balls team

Whatever the recipe, it's not going to pass the taste test.

This won't be close imho. The Jets have a good D, the Cowboys have an elite D.

The Jets O is very pedestrian if you can keep the Run game in check. The Cowboys O is much more versatile and polished.

'Boys, 29-13.

The only way the Jets win is if the Cowboys give it to them by not taking care of the ball on offense.

It's like everybody forgot exactly who it is that the Cowboys offense practices against every freakin' day.

Do you really think the Jets defense scares them? Sunday is probably the easiest workday of their week.

If we. can't trounce the Jets with a QB who has 16 TDs and 19 interceptions then we have bigger issues than anyone realizes.

Cowboys 38 Jets 13
If you think the Cowboys are gonna score 38 on a top five offense, without a starting lineman, and their #2 receiver...yes there are issues.

The only way we score 38 is with 3 or 4 turnovers that directly create or quickly lead to scores.

25% chance we lose this game. And perhaps much greater risk because of the disgraceful celebration here of Rodgers injury, and all the hate and vitriol.

Cowboys interceptions were the talk of the 2022 season and all offseason. They led the league with 15 interceptions. Whether they were due to poor receiver play or bad decisions by the QB, those turnovers cost them all year. In Week 1, Cowboys avoided these big mistakes, even in the pouring rain, but the defense from the Jets is much better than the Giants.

The Jets used four Josh Allen turnovers — three interceptions, and a fumble — to upset Buffalo on Monday night. Their defense is fantastic and could take over the game if the Cowboys don’t protect the ball. It isn’t exciting, but a conservative game plan could be the best strategy for a Cowboys victory in Week 2.

This particular Dallas team has an elite defensive unit. Moving the ball on them will be incredibly difficult for a backup QB. They already shut out their first opponent and could similarly stymie the other New York team if the offense doesn’t give up short fields due to turnovers.

The special teams unit is really strong as well, not often giving teams a chance to return kicks and make big plays that way. Protecting the ball should be a priority every game, but particularly with a compromised opponent like the Jets are currently.

Turnovers are the ultimate equalizer in the NFL.
Let's be fair, the 'Book' has already been written (and quoted by Jimmie Ward - after SF1) as to how to beat us....
Get a lead
Play in zonal coverage
Stop the run

Then again its difficult to do as you need a very good all over defense.

I’m conditioned by past history to believe the Cowboys will make Z. Wilson look like Peyton Manning in his prime.
I was just thinking something similar. We watched the Cowboys D fold for so many years that we just cannot trust them to put up to consecutive weeks of shut down defense. My concern is their defense lives off turnovers. If they don't get them, the are nowhere near as dominant. If the Jets stay in this game and run the football, the turnover opportunities will fewer.

Turpin. Hang on to the ball.

I’m not sure how many fumbles he’s had, though it seems like too many. No more.

Dakota "WENTZ 2.0" Prescot has a bad habit of throwing picks when he feels ANY TYPE OF PRESSURE and unfortunately for the Boys, he's probably feeling the pressure as he's dressing for the game today.

So basically it will come down to the Wrs dropping Balls & Causing Interceptions or The Offensive Line not giving Dak the time to Throw the ball
