I could go on, but you're getting the idea... more to the point, it seems the coaching staff has tumbled to the notion they have a serious depth problem, judging by the number of players brought in just this week (six)...

To me I think they realized they had major depth issues last week against Cincy. Once Portis got hurt, Gibbs took all of the starters out of the game. Usually coaches will still keep their starters in if another starter gets hurt. But Gibbs even copped to being afraid of injuries in this preseason and really focusing on avoiding them.

Well, there "real" preseason game next week is against the Pats so it will be real interesting to see how long they play their starters. The Pats seemed in real good form tonight against the Cards, who blitzed often and the Pats QBs made them pay for it all night.
The Pats ran well tonight too, so while we have are own house to keep in order and worry about we all might be able to enjoy a meltdown over at extremeskins should they get whooped up on again. I can't think of a better team then the Pats to go against the Skins in the only important preaseason game and its all the sweeter because they are really showing they have problems on that squad and that fearsome defense is showing cracks and getting dinged up too.

JMO... the skins were not that good last year.... they were 5-6 at one point and had NO KEY INJURIES... unlike most of the teams they faced at the end of last year!

Now the Injury bug is catching up to the Skins...

skins fans will tell ya they won a playoff game on the road.. but fail to mention the returning a fumble for a TD and a bad rule on the Bucs TD!

the Free agents they signed make alot of money but thats about it!!!

the New O cannot be fully installed in 1 offseason... the D gets by on Blitzing not talent! I see the skins as the team somewhere between the team that went 5-6 and the team that won 5 in a row!! 8-8 9-7 at best!!!

Basing absolutely zilch on this game as it pertains to the regular season or the Skins. They looked absolutely hideous in the 2005 exhibition season. Couldn't move the ball at all and totally unable to stop anyone who lined up against them.

As to their depth, they certainly have areas of major concern. We all do.

I think you're right-- just look at the flood of new players they signed in the last few days (six)...

Sadly for us Cowboys fans, some of those signings weren't bad at all-- Antuan Edwards, Jeff Posey amd Spencer Folau come to mind... none of them have star potential, but they're all legit NFL players... they're almost certain to be better than the players they'll wind up replacing...

We're 3 weeks from the start of the regular season, and the Skins are REALLY churning the bottom of that roster, LOL...

Their quarterback of the future went 6 for 13 in this game, for 83 yards... no TDs, 1 int... a quarterback rating of 35.1

Did you even watch the game?!? Obviously not, it seems like you read the stat sheet only.

Campbell played great against the Jets. At least 3 drops come to mind. He would have thrown a TD pass if Thrash wasn't tackled at the 3 inch line by a 15 yard face mask penalty. He looked calm and made very impressive throws. He threw one pick off of his back foot, as rookies do. Campbell will be a very good QB for the Skins. Watch the games and you will see.

I don't put any more stock in the Skins struggles than I do Romo's and the D's performance by us last week. It's pre-season. The Colts didn't win a single pre-season game last year. The first (of 3) Cowboys Super Bowl seasons in the 90's, the Cowboys didn't win a single pre-season game (as a matter of fact, during those Super Bowl runs, NONE of our pre-seasons were impressive).

Dallas could stink it up on Monday night against the Saints, and I won't be writing the season off. I do agree that the Skins are going to have some serious depth problems this year if injuries start to mount, though. That's not exactly a revelation looking at their depth chart. They have taken a gamble to spend a boatload of cash on some fringe players and a few superstars as their starters and invested very little in depth or development.,If itpays off, they'll look like geniuses. If not.......well...... they'lllook like the Skins. Overspending in the wrong areas for a shot at that elusive championship that Danny boy has been so desperately trying to aquire (through all the wrong moves, it seems). It is fun to watch some of them ready to jump off the bridge, though. lol.
