Whether they're Romo haters or not, this board would NOT be okay with a late-game interception by Romo. And many of those "Romo haters" have turn that way because of Romo's play. I remember many saying, "I used to be able to defend Romo but now I can't."

It's not always on Romo, but sometimes it is.

Yeah, there were several Romo die hards that crossed over after the Washington game and now are being honest about what they see on the field now.

If your defense can't stop a team from scoring a touchdown with less than a minute and having to drive 80 yards with no time outs and your offense scores 30 points, I think it's on the defense.

Same defense held them to 7 points through 3 quarters. Our offense after those turnovers still only had 10 points through 3 quarters. Should not have been a game, just as against Denver you have Romo throwing for 500 yds and 5 TDs and defense cannot force a punt and we blame tony for the pic? No we blame the defense because it should not have been a game. That is holding a double standard if you do not hold the offense liable for their ineptitude for the majority of the DET game and you fail to acknowledge the defense did get the stop we needed giving the offense the ball back with less than two minutes. Offense had two chances to run the clock out under 3:30 and they failed.

I think its fair to say that Romo had seriously regressed since Sean Payton left town.

Garrett is such a clown

Romo was off target all game other then a couple of throws, i can understand not throwing it and basically giving them free timeouts. If Romo was on and hitting passes then absolutely we should have thrown for a first, We would have won this game if Tyron hadn't held the calls weren't bad the execution was

In all three instances I outlined, the Cowboys had scored the last two times they had the ball. All of those scores were Romo touchdown passes.

Romo, just to state some facts you seem to ignore, was under pressure the entire game and still had (3) TD passes and a QB rating of 101.7, but go ahead and blame Romo if that makes you happy..

Also so if you are the coach you trust BW Webb, Jeff Heath, and Jakar Hamilton on the back end to play mistake free coverage and get that stop? You need to protect those guys who have not proved anything yet. Do not put them in that situation. Romo, Dez, and the offense have succeeded and failed before in this situation multiple times because they have experience, yet you trust the young guys out there to save the team from your poor decision making?

In reference to the 1992 NFC Championship Game:

See the difference? That was the Cowboys-Niners game.

In Cowboys-Lions, the Cowboys had the ball with less than 2:00 on the clock, AND on the Detroit 31.

Much less time left on the clock, AND 49 yards further in the direction of the opponent.

Enormously different situation we're talking about.

I guess you missed the point. Jimmy Johnson knew his defense couldn't stop Steve Young and that why he used the "I want to win" quote, and how did Garrett's strategy work out?

The other similar thing in each case is the offense was asking it's defense to get ONE stop and they couldn't do it.

After the game, Jimmy Johnson said he didn't believe his defense could stop Steve Young, and he played to win the game. Something Garrett and his OC Callahan know nothing about. Neither are winners.

The offense supplied the defense with a TEN point lead twice in the 4th quarter. The defense gave up 21 freaking points in a 10 minute span.

There you go using logic and stating the truth. The "Let's Blame Romo for Everything" won't accept that.

I still remember vaguely the game when Wade was here, and it was the end of the half, and Dallas was in their own twenty yard line, and had no time left, but genius Garrett called a passing play, that ended up being a check down to Tashard Choice, the pass being a fumble, leading to a score.

And Wade took the fall like the gentleman he was, despite Garrett having total control of tha pathetic offense. That was Garrett's 'aggressiveness' at play. He simply is a bad play-caller with bad play design.

It's going to be a struggle making it through all of the really bad takes this week. Wednesday can't get here fast enough.

I am truly amazed at the level of Romo hatred. He screws up he gets blasted. He doesn't screw up he gets blasted.

I wonder if anyone watched the Seattle offense last night? They were steamrolling every team in the league. Last night the Rams put a furious pass rush on Russell Wilson, and I believe they sacked him 8 times. Seattle won the game because their defense held the Rams offense to field goals.

Our defense lost the game against the Lions, but why should that be a surprise. The Cowboys have lost 4 games and in three of those they led by double digits in the fourth quarter. Yet, it's always Romo's fault.

Yeah, and how many times has Peyton come through in the clutch? Does he have a super bowl ring? Please don't ever compare Peyton and Romo. There is no comparison there right now. You talk about a botched snap in the Seattle game.. why not talk about something more recent? Like the 2012 Commanders game where Romo sunk the whole team?

I'm not comparing Peyton to Romo. I'm pointing out that one of your examples of a guy that wouldn't throw a pick in a clutch situation threw a season killing pick six on the biggest stage at the biggest moment of the season that lost the game.

You can't play scared or coach that way. The truth is this defense sucks and has consistently not been able to stop a team when it counts. Glad you agree with Garrett, until then enjoy the losing.

With Peyton I would take my chances. Same with Brady, Rodgers, and Brees. All QB's mess up from time to time, but some of them are KNOWN for choking at the worst possible times.

Every game in the NFL is different from week to week. You never know what to expect. For some odd reason the Rams were playing lights out on defense and not many QB's would have survived that onslaught. I wouldn't blame Romo if he was the QB in that game if they had lost because the Oline is the one that gave up those sacks.

Not a good analogy.

And then wouldn't own up to it until days later when the media literally cornered him and got him to talk.

BTW, I thought the quote from Jimmy was, "We have to get the first down." Same idea, though -- simply burning some clock with three run plays and kicking it to an offense on a roll wasn't going to cut it.

What are you even talking about with the "glad you agree with Garrett?" I'm all for letting Romo air it out. Picks are going to come - as they will anytime a guy throws 30+ a game. But, Romo gives you the best chance to win every week. I agree that the defense sucks, and Dallas needs to win in spite of them.
