...and unfocused, undisciplined teams play like we did today. It's the same old story week after week after week.

False starts from Witten and Fasano for the umpteenth week in a row, Messed up blocking assignments, special teams letting a guy run free to block the game-winning kick, McBriar looks like Ray Guy one week and Toby Gowin the next, bone head coaching decisions like going for 2 with 13:00 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter. Even the failure to call our T.O.s at the end of the game almost cost us. There was 1:45 to go and we didn't call a T.O. until there was :33 to go in the game. Most of the time that would not be enough time, even with the 2 T.O.s left, but Romo made it work.

As bad a loss as last year's Monday Night game against the Skins.

...we have none.

Parcells' is done. Stick a fork in him.

He was never innovative and his play calling has always been conservative. His past success was mainly the result of good personell moves and that his teams were disciplined and near flawless execution. He's still a decent personell guy, but we are obviously not disciplined as evidenced by today's performance (and all the penalities we've racked up during his tenure).

If he feels too old to chew people out for stupid penalties, well then he just can't be as effective as his formal self. Stick a fork in him. He's done. You can see it in his body language.

I don't think his players fear him anymore, and intimidation is a Parcell's hallmark.

I'm counting the days 'till Fisher or Cowher comes to town. Let them clean house (starting w/ Zimmer). And please bring back Steve Hoffman.

I agree that Zimmer needs to go and Parcells doesn't seem to have the same fire.. despite his show after our last game.. but it's getting time for a change.

Luckily though he did at least appear to have found us our Qb.

I was SCREAMING that we should've been using our TIME OUTS when the racial slurs had the ball after the 2:00 minute warning. We could've had a minute and a half left with the ball instead of 40 seconds. We could've easily scored a TD or made the FG an extra-point range FG attempt.
This game is on the coaching for poor game management and inability to field a disciplined team.

Jimmah can kiss my a**. He revels in Cowboys losses since he left. Maybe he wants to come back? I see no other reason to berate Parcells like he did in the postgame.

Parcells did not lose this game for us. Other than one bad play call, it was strictly all about penalties although other than the TO nap, I didn't see anything "egregious".

Hard to say if the team is undisciplined when they fight hard every game which this team clearly does. We are just untimely, and have been for two years now. This is on the players, not Parcells.

Parcells hasn't won a Super Bowl in nearly 20 years. This means to me that his defensive philosophy of the 3-4 is completely 80's. This 80's 3-4 is not gonna get it done.

Parcells is washed up, let him be a cowboys scout, and let's move on. We have great parts on this team, we need a new philosophy, a 2006 version.

I credit Payton w/ the discovery of Romo.

Hey, he found a raisin in a bag of nuts. Still I'm tired of Parcells

It's not the 3-4, but how it's being used. Steelers went to the SB w/ it last year. Parcell's is just too conservative w/ his playcalling.

boy I long for the days of Jimmy Johnson

from 1991-1993 we were the best coached and prepared team in the NFL week after week...we made 2nd half adjustment better than any team...we didnt consistently come out at the beginning of games flat as hell and get kicked around for 15-20 minutes at a time before waking up

this team is the anti-Johnson Cowboys

Jimmy is well qualified to make that comment!

A team that makes these penalties and mistakes week after week and year after year is a TOTAL reflection of the HC and coaching staff. A stupid decision to go for 2 in the early 2nd quarter is TOTALLY on Parcells!!

I think back to the Cleveland game in 2004. We did the same crap we did today. Just flounder around making every kind of mistake you can think of. The blocked kick was the capper.

Of course, if we use our time outs and Washington makes a first down, we're not having this discussion.

What's that saying about hindsight? ;)
