...we have none.

Parcells' is done. Stick a fork in him.

He was never innovative and his play calling has always been conservative. His past success was mainly the result of good personell moves and that his teams were disciplined and near flawless execution. He's still a decent personell guy, but we are obviously not disciplined as evidenced by today's performance (and all the penalities we've racked up during his tenure).

If he feels too old to chew people out for stupid penalties, well then he just can't be as effective as his formal self. Stick a fork in him. He's done. You can see it in his body language.

I don't think his players fear him anymore, and intimidation is a Parcell's hallmark.

I'm counting the days 'till Fisher or Cowher comes to town. Let them clean house (starting w/ Zimmer). And please bring back Steve Hoffman.

I agree. This is an average team that EVEN IF they staggered into the POs we'd get beat round 1. We are just plain average from the coaching staff to the players. Not sure why, because we have the 4th ranked D, and 5th ranked O in the entire NFL. We we #1 in red zone scoring. We win time of possesion every week. Yet it doesn't translate into wins. No step up CLUTCH leaders on D. Ware is on pace for 7 sacks. Roy can't blame people when they say he can't cover, BECAUSE HE CAN"T!!!!!!!! Witten with STUPID mistakes and missed blocks. Ellis not staying at home. Vandy kicking a chip shot so low the dudes from lord of the rings could have blocked it. I could go on but why? Romo and MB3 are the only guys who seem to play with zest. Oh well, another .500 tean at the half way point.

it's easy, poor execution and stupid penalties at the worst times

and on the blocked FG, the snap was low and the line let everyone and their mothers get through

How come everyone always says this about "mothers" this and "mothers" that?

How come the "fathers" of the world get no credit, damnit?!!

I haven't read the other forty-something replies and I won't bother.

But while Coach Johnson was fundamentally correct, he had his share of Dolphin teams that did the same thing. They also found a way to lose and were very close to five hundred, win or lose a few games.

Most teams in this league are potentially five hundred.

Period.

There are no elite teams that execute week in week out.

And those that do like Indianapolis are still a mistake from a loss.

There is no quick way out of this, other than the players playing smarter.

There is a rule in productivity, working smarter is just as important as working harder.

That brings up a good point.

Manning and Brady are great QB's because they work on the mental part of the game as much as the physical. Romo seems to do the same type of mental preparation. The top teams (Chicago the majority of the time, Indy, Denver, Giants, Patriots, even Seattle) all look more mentally prepared than we are.

In today's NFL where all teams are all about the same due to parity, that seems to be the edge you need to be successful. Being physical is just not enough.

I wonder if this team has a coach or consultant that works with these players on their mental preparedness. My guess is they do not have one. Where's Tony Robbins when you need him?

With this players I think Jimmy Johnson could get them to play without all the mental mistakes. This team has never been the same since he left. I remember Troy saying that after Jimmy the coachs where not hard. This team has talent no mental toughness. To bad the best coach on this team works for New Orleans.

Even when Jimmy was in Miami, they seemed to have good mental toughness/awareness. He just did not have the talent.
