Blocked field goal? All of the kickoffs were fantastic. There was a good return early?

Not many "hideous" plays in there, but there sure was a lot of really good S/T play.

The running had more to do with the lineman getting pushed back and giving up gaping holes. Plus the tackling left a lot to be desired. williams got a lot of yards after initial contact at the LOS.

The blocked FG was nice, but it's nothing we can expect. I though our return game was AWFUL. 2 kickoffs that didn't get back past the twenty, a botched punt return. The coverage units weren't all that great.

They left a lot to be desired.

Jerry, instead of players dumping gatorade on me after a made field goal, I'd like them to dump buttermilk on me.

Oh, and Folk looks like money again.

Great day for special teams.

I just don't think guys deserve praise for finally doing what they are supposed to do...that's why they are always bad. I hope DeCamillis or however you spell it points out things they did wrong, because I was unimpressed.

I don't think special teams are expected to get so many touchbacks, block field goals and hit 50 yard field goals down the middle with room to spare.

But whatever.

I said Beuhler was impressive, and Folk is a good kicker. But youc an't ignore coverage units, muffed punt returns, missed tackles, and stuff like that.

Considering the average starting position of our opponents on kickoffs, I think it's pretty safe to say those were spectacular.

You have the muffed punt by Newman. That's about it. Our punt coverage held them to 9 yards per return, which is more than respectable.

Bottom line is, unless you're blind, special teams had an exceptional day. End of story.

Saw them both I hope WP emphasizes stopping the run for next week.

We got gashed by a RB that is oft injured. I also sincerely hope Wade emphasized being stout up the middle... That's the heart. Teams should not be able to gash us there.

he seemed pretty healthy to me in the beginning which alot of teams have problems with him when he is...I'd have to agree that their RBs are better than the Giants ones - they have 4, NY only has 2 healthy ones.

too much weight gets placed on wades shoulders. there were plenty of times when the players were in position to make plays just poor tackling led to big gains. The players need to be held accountable for the poor run defense as well.
Other than that the team played well. The D held tampa to 14 points till the last 2 minutes when the game was already over so theres something to say about that. Give credit where credit is due. Wade had nothing to work with as far as schemeing for the buccs and they have a pretty stout O-line. Good Win, theres always room to improve. GO COWBOYS!

When healthy, Williams are Ward are still pretty good RB's. To minimize their effectiveness because they've been injured in past is irrelevent when healthy (like today).

We will get a good test next week for sure to see if Wade can "fix" this defense

He had all offseason to "fix" this defense. He took ownership of it late last season. No?

I'm not a big fan of Wade. This defense has no excuse for not coming out and manning up every game. Wade has promised improvement and I will hold him to it.

Don't get me wrong, I too hold Wade accountable for the defense. I'm just withholding judgement for now because I think Tampa has a pretty good rotation of RB's.
