I honestly would if they would take it. It might take more, and that I wouldn't do.

I don't know what you're laughing about.

The Pats lose their No. 1 pick - which likely would have been 30, 31 or 32.

But they have the 49ers pick, which very well could be a top five pick, better than the Cleveland pick Dallas has.

And I think the Pats would take Darren McFadden if he were available. Maroney is too injury prone.

The backup didn't fare too bad either..... Jones had 13 carries for 165 yards for a 12.7 average.

How good was the SC run defense prior to this.

You know.....I'm not so sure McFadden wouldn't last to pick six or seven.

The Dolphins and Falcons have HUGE QB issues. I can't see them passing up the opportunity to take Woodson, Ryan, or Brohm.

The Rams don't need a RB...they already have an all-pro.
Oakland is a great possibility, but they also have OL issues.
Minnesota already has a great stable of backs.
Buffalo just spent a high pick on a RB.
The Jets are a possibility.

If Cleveland's pick is in the top ten....I think we somehow land McFadden.

There are so many things that happen before the draft. Usually, a player is so overanalyzed it's pitiful. I can remember when Ricky Williams was a lock for the top pick. Peterson was also considered to be a lock top three guy.

I can see people downgrading DMac for being a "product of the system". Arkansas runs a very unconventional offense. People may say that Jones draws attention from McFadden. I can see people looking into the "incident" that caused him to miss most of the USC game last year. They'll poke at the fact that he has had some problems with fumbles. He had to take himself out of the game vs Alabama.......

It'll happen....just watch....top players are always overanalyzed.

Yeah, but when your starter is that big time of a threat, your backup can put up those kinda yards, especially when they are on the field together alot with DMac at QB.

At this point, I might hate the Browns more than the Skins......well maybe not. But still, we probably won't get him, but you better believe JJ wishes he could.

What would look to be more probable is JJ could have interest in Marcus Monk.

Well, I went and checked and saw that they are pretty poor against the run.

I'd like to get McFadden, but lets be honest here....what has been killing us for the past I don't know how many years? The pass defense....Gimme another CB to compliment T-New first. If that happens in FA, then I'd be thrilled.

All that I know, and I haven't been keeping tabs on McFadden like others here, is that in the other game that I watched him in, he had less than 100 yards rushing and was like a 2.X on per carry or something like that.

But I certainly understand the interest of others to get him.

Jerry got a front row seat to THAT? Wow. He might just be drooling as we speak. I'd trade the picks in a heartbeat, though I am doubting they would be enough.

You knew when JJ traded for the Browns #1 in the draft next year that he had DMac on the brain .......... a nice addition to our new franchise QB

As of this moment, I'm not sure if I would. Yes, he did have a great game tonight, but S. Carolina did give up 500+ rushing yards, not exactly high caliber defense, regardless, he was very impressive. If I was a GM, I wouldn't commit myself to trade two #1s just yet, I'd wait until after the season to evaluate what my most pressing needs because in my mind, there are other pressing needs like WR/CB.

If both #1's this year, the 2nd this year, and 2nd next year is what it would take.... I'd still do it.

Romo and McFadden for the next 6 years?!? The offense is set.

I'm laughing that they lost a number 1 pick.

having the 49'ers pick at, say 5... and their own #1 is better than just having the 49'ers pick. I'm glad they lost a #1.

Unless Cleveland's is somehow high, it will take more than both #1's.

Depending on how much more they would want... I still might be down with that.

I would just like to say damn Derek Anderson, Braylon Edwards and all the Browns who are performing well this year for making it harder for us to get D-Mac. It should have been their destiny to suck. No respect for destiny.

This probably means Little Diaper Danny in Deadskinville will probably trade all their draft picks for DMac ...............................

oh wait, we're safe, they usually have no draft picks

They still could ... let's hope Seattle starts them on a tailspin.

I just want a good 3rd down back in later rounds that would compliment MBIII and let him step into the primary back role. We could use those picks on some youth at wideout and secondary depth. It's not like our offense is struggling right now, but it might since our wideouts are getting older.

I realize McFadden is a beast, but man, we have much greater needs right now that a running back isn't going to do a lick of good solving.

And this isn't really totally directed at you, but just in general. No idea why I replied to you on it. :)

I agree that we need to address CB as our # 1 need. What I wish is that Jerry signs Samuel in FA and that way we could use our picks for McFadden.:D

I would be happy with Felix Jones if we could not get him. Jones plus Barber would be a devastating duo. Felix do not get as many touches as McFadden and still puts up unbelievable numbers.
