Many of us CowboysZoners have said for awhile that he needs to be moved to SS cause he is a thumper and not a center fielder. Now that he is playing the position suited to his style he is tearing it up.

Chalk one up for the armchair coaches --- |

If you needed an emergency fullback, Wilcox could easily fill that role. I would like to try him as an extra blocker in the red zone. Dude likes to hit. And when he hits you, you feel it.

Wilcox has been a pleasant surprise and has been playing much better this year.

He does seem to promote that "business decision" mentality in opposing WRs, eh? Even to where Steve Smith is talking about it before games and throwing up during.

Gotta give some props to the new DB coach.....Wilcox, Heath, Jones, Brown etc.........have all progressed to solid contributor status.

Looks like the new secondary coach has somehow convinced the DBs not to panic when the ball is in the air, which lead to easy PI calls. The difference this season is very noticeable.

I think he played his butt off last night. Probably his best game I've seen him play as a cowboy. All the pieces of this defensive puzzle is finally coming together at the right time. All the haters say this defense will be the downfall of this team going into the playoffs.I for one beg to differ, I think the defense will be the reason why we go far in the playoffs and potentially win the super bowl.

He was the tone setter in the 2nd half for the defense. They fed off that hit and the Lions were pretty much ineffective the rest of the game.

Heck, even the punter had to get into the act.

I still believe Odell isn't running 61 yards with Wilcox roaming the middle of the field.

Greg Jackson deserves every penny they are paying him. Eberflus is also worth his weight as the coverage coordinator.

They aren't perfect but guys help each other out and pass off in zone coverage. We have maintained our man skills. There is a more physical element to their tackling, and probably most impressive is that guys are filling in without a drop in the level of play. Scandrick, Mo, Brown, Wilcox, and Church have all missed games. Jones is the straw that stirs the proverbial drink with his ability to play all 5 spots. Heath and Brown have filled in admirably.

We've struggled to develop back 7 in year's past but heck now you keep giving these guys players and you could well see something special.

Nobody has been harder on the Dallas coaching staff than I have, and I think the entire staff deserves huge recognition for what they've done with these players this year, especially the head man. 4-12 to 14-2 with a rookie QB and a rookie RB. How can he not be a lock for CoTY?

The difference in Wilcox, Church, Mo and Heath from last year to this is amazing, and lets not forget the rookie, so I think Jackson and Eberflus deserve a ton of credit. Lett is doing an amazing job with the DL and Wade Wilson has taken his share of flack around here, but he is the position coach for arguably the best rookie QB in NFL history. Time he gets a little dap too. Which coordinators are more deserving of Assistant Coach of the Year than Linehan and Marinelli?
