Where does that leave Erin???
How is a $90 MILLION contract “hard to understand”??This is very hard to understand. I've read a couple of articles that said that over the past 2 years cable and dish providers lost about 15% to 20% of their subscribers because of the loss of income from covid and families having to make cut backs. So why would the #1 team on FOX go to a smaller audience. Besides MNF often has less than really good games . This just doesn't make any sense.

Lisa Salters and John Parry will remain in their current roles, according to ESPN’s release:
ESPN has signed acclaimed play-by-play commentator Joe Buck and leading football analyst Troy Aikman to multi-year deals, as the NFL’s longest current booth pairing and Pro Football Hall of Fame members will become the new voices of Monday Night Football. The iconic duo’s 2022 Monday Night Football debut will mark their 21st NFL season in the booth together, matching the legendary Pat Summerall and John Madden’s all-time record as on-air NFL partners. In their two decades together, Buck and Aikman have called six Super Bowls, surpassing all other pairings/booths except for Summerall and Madden. Accomplished commentator Lisa Salters, Monday Night Football’s longest-tenured sideline reporter, will return for her 11th season on the series. John Parry will be the officiating analyst once again.
ESPN is insuring their investment that bringing the #1 team will get some better games. This is very hard to understand. Did John Madden die?
'Mookie' aka RIp Van WinkleRumor has it
Read last night that even if this offer from ESPN didn't come up, 2022 was going to be Joe Buck's last year calling the Word Series anyway.ESPN is insuring their investment that bringing the #1 team will get some better games.
While many here do not like one or both of them, they are the #1 team and most recognizable broadcast team since Madden/Summerall and MNF was once iconic and ESPN is trying to rekindle that.
Will this work with getting better games or increase the interest? I like this a hell of a lot better than the last two 3 Stooge teams ESPN put on there.
What I find hard to understand is Buck leaving the World Series network but for listeners unable to watch the games on MNF, his Dad's voice was a comfort on the radio broadcast and for pure analysis of the game, hard to beat Stram. So there are two legacies for Joe Buck to pick from and now he will have done both.
That 'TB12 Method' must be the real thingDude retired like 11 years younger than Brady and still managed to look older than Tom
