Someone will post soon but the guy is the very bottom per PFF rating as a CB. He doesn't have it and Carroll is better. We all have our opinions but we drafted the rookies and don't need CBs what this team needs is the best MLB who gets cut. After that best DE.....just say no to a guy who cant keep his job with the browns.
he was on the Browns since 2010, that's a pretty good stretch I'd say in NFL terms. People could say Newman couldn't keep a job with the Cowboys and he went on to have several pretty good seasons post Dallas. Not saying we should go all out for him but Cleveland is certainly in rebuild mode and him being cut doesn't necessarily mean he's trash

I'd still take a gimped Haden over Nolan Carroll any and every day

19 career picks ... that's more than Scandrick and Carroll combined

My money is he lands in Philthy
Browns CB Joe Haden will undergo groin surgery after the season.

The surgery will address the two groin injuries he suffered this year. Haden will play the final two games of the regular season but will obviously be doing so at less than 100 percent. The former All-Pro selection has graded out as PFF's 104th-best corner out of 121 qualifiers this year.

That puts him on track to play Sunday against Seattle. Carroll has struggled mightily this year, earning PFF's 14th-worst cornerback grade out of 116 qualifiers. Teammate Jalen Mills is dead-last.

For the record I am not a fan of bringing Carroll in either. They both suck.

More than likely a pipe dream anyway. He will go to Philly and be a shut down guy again lol

I here what your saying but drafting 3 cbs I just don't see the team going there. While he is slightly better per PFF we still are talking about CBs on the bottom of the barrel. You drafted young guys with high expectations and high grades the team is going to give them a shot sooner rather than later. I could be wrong but I think they are looking at other areas with a greater need right now.

Exactly...I believe 4 years or more is vested.

Usually I'm not for veteran players but if the team grades him out higher that Marquez White...what do you have to lose with a short term deal? White likely makes it to the practice squad at this point.

I could see this coming down to us and Philly TBH.

I certainly hope they consider it. If you're willing to pay Nolan Carroll $4 million, you should be talking to Joe Hayden.

Is he a zone corner? It's obvious Rod is looking for a certain type of player.

Now the all-important questions.
Do we need him?
How much does he want?
How much is he likely to get on the open market less than two weeks from opening the season?
Is he better than Nolan Carroll?
Is he better than some of the young CBs on our roster right now? Is he a progress stopper?

I personally don't think the Cowboys will show much interest at all. They will probably ask his agent how much he wants and then end it there.

I don't think Marquez White will make it to the practice squad. Too many teams looking for DB help and he showed enough talent and potential for a team to not take a chance.

I'm not seeing it. Browns didn't want to pay him because he's not worth that much with his continual groin problems and they're 50 mil under the cap.

We won't have any interest. It's who we are. I wish we took a chance on him. We need the help.

I was just looking into that. From the little I've read, it looks like he's a man corner type, so the Cowboys might not be all that interested.

The timing does worry me. He must've been having a bad camp.

I think it's more of a numbers game. They are starting Boddy-Calhoun and
McCourty.

So I'm guessing they didn't want to pay for a 3rd corner
