Why would anyone choose Robinson over Horn? Just because of age?

Robinson has had one good season in a career that is mostly marked by his off-the-field problems. (Sounds like someone else we've got on the team, but that's about where the similarities end.)

Horn has had no off-the-field problems and has proven himself on the field. I understand that he's getting old and his skills are in decline, but I'd take a proven vet any day over a troubled player who has athletic ability but has accomplished very little with it. (With Robinson we'd be taking on a high risk with potentially very little reward based on his previous performances.)

I'm not enamored with either player, but I do believe that Horn for the right price could be a decent addition to the team (if we part ways with Terry Glenn). He's a former star who could thrive in a fairly nondemanding role, since Owens and Witten are going to get the bulk of the receptions.

Yeah, Robinson has had one good season. Horn has had many.

We are talking about the future here, not the past.

If you are asking me who has had a better career up until 2007 Horn wins.

If you are asking me who can have a better 2008 and beyond it's Robinson.

If we're bringing in a vet it's because we want someone who will be where he's supposed to be on a hot read, can pick up and adjust to coverages quickly and can find the soft spot in secondaries in multiple WR formations. Given the choice, I would take Horn's smarts and savy to fill that role. I don't see what Robinson brings to the table that, as Austin and Stanback already provide undeveloped raw speed on the roster that Robinson provides. Horn would be to our WR corps as Zach Thomas is to our LB corps.

Robinson's past shows that he likely has no future. He's not worth the risk.

Horn might not have much left, but we really don't need that much. We wouldn't be asking him to give us "beyond," just to contribute enough this year to help us win it all. If he shows he can't do that any better than what we've got, then we move on without him. Next year, we go in a different direction no matter what.

Neither is my favorite option, but given a choice of the two, I'd easily take an aging Horn over an undependable Robinson.

DO NOT want either, however, if pressured I would go with Robinson.....best upside if you can keep the booze out of him

Neither... I believe Austin will emerge is the number 2 receiver.

I'll give you your props. When you dream you dream BIG.

Since we keep hearing that Jerry may be getting a little desperate right now for a 2nd WR, and it seems he's making calls around the league, I was wondering who you guys would choose between Horn and Robinson.

Me, give me a young kid who has some quickness to his game like Koren Robinson over an older slowing down, known to open his mouth too much Horn every time.

What about you guys?

how about niether? One is washed up, the other is a major bust with issues left and right off the field

so Doug Free has a better chance of having a better 2008 and beyond than Flozell Adams?

That's an entirely different scenario.

Flo isn't done like Horn is done.

He's 33, not 36. When he's 36 and done then if you ask me that question I am going to answer Doug Free because again I would be thinking about the future as far as potential, not the past as far as accomplishments.

I never said I wanted one or the other. I would rather just let the young guys battle it out or go get Boldin or Williams.

Being forced to choose one or the other was the point of discussion.

If Horn is lined up outside do you think any secondary in the world has to worry about his deep speed? Heck no.

At least Robinson has a little speed to his game.

As far as 'no future', 'not worth the risk'..

Come on now. Can we even bring those things into a discussion anymore when we are talking Dallas Cowboys.

I got three names for you on that note: T.O., Tank and Pacman.
