To be fair, randle wasn't exactly "high priced" he was on a rookie contract. Minimum wage NFL salary (~500k) is a lot to us normies but amongst randles football peers it's peanuts.

But I get your point and agree.

Another reason why kids shouldn't look at professional athletes as role models. There are exceptions but it's safe to say a majority of them are glorified over privileged scum bags/criminals.

I don't care about role models I do expect guys to be able to stay out of trouble it is was causes suspensions in the league. Injuries are one thing no one can do anything about it will happen but a player not being stupid can be avoided. I don't care about his price tag again what I care about is being able to rely on this player. I'm sick of stupid players who can't seem to stay out of trouble those who feel different fine but it is not that damn hard to stay out of trouble.

Problem is most were stupid before they got the money. These guys should thank their lucky stars that there is Pro Football. I hear how mean the NFL is? frankly that is a joke these guys get chance after chance to earn a living they would not have and without the sport many would be sitting in jail or working some low paying job. My own 2 cents, there are players in the NFL who are role models not because they play football, they are role models because how they live their life like any other person who is looked at as a role model. It is not the uniform that makes you a role model but the person inside the uniform.

As much as I do not like Garrett....I am going to bet that Garrett had NOTHING to do with Joe Randle even being on this team after the cologne incident. Randle on this team after that incident and going into last season is strictly on the Jones family!
