As much as I do not like Garrett....I am going to bet that Garrett had NOTHING to do with Joe Randle even being on this team after the cologne incident. Randle on this team after that incident and going into last season is strictly on the Jones family!

I think there was a reason why Garrett was always with Murray in the offseason last year, along with Romo.

After every game big Murray had 2 years ago....Jerry went out of his way during postgame interviews...to indicate that Randle could have done the same thing that Murray did that day. Of course some of it was negotiating through the media...but some of it was also Jones ego and obsession to validate himself as a football guy.

I am going to GUESS...that Jason told the front office that Randle is NOT who you THINK he is....or who you WANT him to be. And trusting him would be a big mistake. The fact that Jason proved to be right about this....gave him another built in excuse with the Jones family after this disastrous season

Randle is most likely out of the NFL permanently. He's in trouble with the NFL office and now has
more scratches on his police blotter. He was a marginal NFL player making minimum money who
will now probably be broke in a year or so and working at Taco Bell someplace. Sad that the young
man was a knucklehead who could not get his life together. His future looks dim indeed. If he
steals something or pulls a gun again, he will most likely spend some quality time in a correctional
facility near you.

I don't necessarily disagree. But then there is this:

“But it's been talked about a lot. And as to a player on the roster, I wanted to be real clear that as far as we operate, I'm not going to put a player on this roster that Jason doesn't want on the roster. That's it.”

this is a stupid statement.
jerry didn't make that call. try again.

are you joking

heres just 1 quote from Jerry- he stated a number of times before the season began he was sold on Randle

OXNARD, Calif. -- The prevailing thought about how the Dallas Cowboys would replace DeMarco Murray was with a running back by committee
Joseph Randle has not averaged better than 3.4 yards per carry in his four games with double-digit carries, but Jerry Jones is intrigued with the running back's potential. Dennis Wierzbicki/USA TODAY Sports

To hear owner and general manager Jerry Jones, Joseph Randle will be the leader of the committee by a wide margin.

Randle has only 105 carries in his first two seasons and has had just for games with double-digit carries. In those four games he has not averaged better than 3.4 yards per carry. Last year he had 51 carries for 343 yards and three touchdowns.

"We feel that in Randle we have a player that has the potential, and we base that not based on what he did at Oklahoma State or how we drafted him but by literally being with him as a teammate around here for the last two years," Jones said. "But he has the potential to be the kind of back that would step in there and be a No. 1 back. If he were not here, then I wouldn't feel as good as we go into the season about what might happen.

He praised the signing of McFadden as well. I don't see any player Jerry ever talks down publicly.

Makes me wonder what the hell a right kind of guy is.

Weeden

“I think [Cassel’s] also got experience in basically just stepping up in the pocket and making some plays,” Jones said. “Now, he will, with that experience though, do something that Weeden was not doing. Weeden was so conservative, he was coached to be conservative to a degree, but he was not taking chances with that ball. Now, we know you can’t make plays if you don’t take some chances. So, we’ll see more of that.

You think?

Oh, I don't know. His sterling production will probably make an NFL GM think twice, especially when they have their own teenage daughter that is getting busted.

Ho ho, ha ha. Kids will be kids.

Let me hand this person a contract.

It is whatever they decide it is.

And it gets more weird when there are big plays and wins involved.

Does he party all the time and show up late to meetings? Does he steal underwear and act like a complete moron at the city jail? Does he break windshields? Beat the crap out of his girlfriend? Slap clipboards out of coaches hands?

Or does he work hard in the offseason, follow his coaches advice, be a team player, sit out games and not collect bonuses when he's not fit to play? I am completely confused on this.

It sounds like they are too. Why Jerry loves human filth is completely beyond my realm of understanding.

Hey, it depends. Like it should.

All in all, it is about football. If the player excels on the field, the garbage outside goes away.

Most of the time, foolish behavior off the field means the same on the field.

That is just playing the averages.
