After every game big Murray had 2 years ago....Jerry went out of his way during postgame interviews...to indicate that Randle could have done the same thing that Murray did that day. Of course some of it was negotiating through the media...but some of it was also Jones ego and obsession to validate himself as a football guy.

I am going to GUESS...that Jason told the front office that Randle is NOT who you THINK he is....or who you WANT him to be. And trusting him would be a big mistake. The fact that Jason proved to be right about this....gave him another built in excuse with the Jones family after this disastrous season

Randle is most likely out of the NFL permanently. He's in trouble with the NFL office and now has
more scratches on his police blotter. He was a marginal NFL player making minimum money who
will now probably be broke in a year or so and working at Taco Bell someplace. Sad that the young
man was a knucklehead who could not get his life together. His future looks dim indeed. If he
steals something or pulls a gun again, he will most likely spend some quality time in a correctional
facility near you.

More proof this front office is completely inept.

Stole panties and cologne like a teenager, other miscellaneous criminal behavior and they still had him on the roster and basically a starter.

You cannot tell me that everything was fine and then this happened during the season. There was more than enough to merit cutting him well before the time they did.


Exclusive: Sports gambling contributed to ex-Cowboys RB Joseph Randle's release

As Joseph Randle's life began to unravel early last season, the Cowboys learned that the running back had been betting on sports, according to four sources.
Randle started the first six games in 2015 before his behavior became so peculiar that the Cowboys chose to cut ties with him.
Early Monday morning, Randle was arrested for the fourth time over the last 17 months in Irving on an outstanding speeding warrant out of Coppell. Randle's continued run-ins with the law and his involvement in sports gambling appear to have put his career in jeopardy.

On Nov. 3, a combination of issues led the Cowboys to release Randle. In addition to showing signs of mental instability, he had been involved in placing wagers on sporting events during the 2015 season, sources said.

"All of that became apparent to us right during the season," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said last week from a Senior Bowl practice in Mobile, Ala. "Not before the season. It became real acute, a combination of things. Some issues ... became more apparent."
