I agree, Randle avg 3 attempts per game last season. I think McFadden will be penciled in as the starter going into camp and get most of the snaps I do think Randle carries will go up considerably which should allow him the chance to show he can carry more of a load.

I would agree this is the most likely scenario. Williams has never lived up to his draft grade but if he could(big if I know), he would be the best filler for the void Murray has left behind.

With the backs on the roster, you'd think we'd be using them in the passing game a lot more. That's something I keep predicting we're going to do more of. They keep talking about using Dunbar more, and that's basically what he's good for. But for whatever reason, we haven't done it. I guess I'm going to keep on predicting it for this season, too. It just makes too much sense.

Yeah, I really expected more use of Dunbar going into last season, but it quickly became clear that the plan was to run Murray Murray and more Murray (and obviously that plan proved to be worth following). With Murray gone, I like you am finding my expectations of Dunbar returning, but we'll see. The Garrett/Romo offense often seems to be built on the chemistry of how players mix, and Dunbar in the regular season hasn't thus far been very reactive.

If McFadden can live up to his draft grade he could be in the HOF. I think the big advantage McFadden has is he is a good blocker, good at receiving. I think one main thing any of the backs must prove during camp is their ability to pick up the blitz those who struggle in my view will see limited action. Keeping Romo up is a must

A lot of Randle's big plays here are late in games, after Murray and the line have already worn down the opposing defense and Randle is pretty fresh. Maybe he can do it from the start, but I'm not sure I've seen that from him enough to just throw him in there.

Felix Jones(and Marion Barber, for that matter) was fine until they starting fiddling with his weight and running style trying to make him something he wasn't. That was a solid combination until they each tried to be like the other one. A lean Marion Barber running out of bounds to protect himself and prolong his career and a bulked up Felix Jones trying to run over people and stay healthy, SMH... (Sore Subject!)

I think we have solid stable of backs and, strategically, I think I'd let the opposing team try to guess who I was starting from week to week. Unless a sureshot #1 is brought in or one of the backs outright takes the job, I'd start someone different every week based on opponent. That said, I'm excited to see if DMac can resurrect his career with some quality pieces around him. If he can replicate some of those runs he had in Oaktown, he's gonna find a whole lotta daylight down here.

I agree with the RBBC approach. It puts a lot of pressure on the opposing teams weekly game planning. Harder to pick up on tendencies and helps with the chess match. Also, we are not as limited if there is an injury with the number 1 workhorse back.

I would pick Randle out of backs we have on roster. I am just not sure he can tote the rock on a regular basis, week in and week out. I think he gets popped a few times against the better defenses and wont be much after that.

I think he's too small, i hope he used this Offseason to bulk up for the pounding he could receive with more action. 210 lbs is not going to cut it in this offense unless you are marshal faulk or barry sanders

My favorite was the long run vs Seattle. Murray was plodding along up to that point and Randle broke a 40 yarder. Then Murray started picking it up.

Me too. Love the way he finished the run plowing over the DBack and gets up like, " I own you dog, and there's more where that came from".

I have never been a big fan of Running Back by Committee I think RB need the carries to get into the flow of the game. While I do not expect any of the RB to be a workhorse like Murray was last year I do hope to see someone come in and show they can carry a good portion of the load.

Demarco had no vision and no legs, I love the guy but won't miss him one bit. Randle would have scored so many TD's on those 25 yard runs by Demarco where he was caught from behind. It only makes you wonder what this kid is capable of, if his head is on right and remains healthy. I am not worried about our run game one bit. With the Dallas RB committee we can do some serious damage once again this year.

I don't even need to see the video.. Everyone will jump on Randles wagon soon enough. Where were they last season? Murray will fall flat this season in Philly just watch.

I don't think he can take the pounding over the entire season. That said, 15-20 carries per game and at the end of the year he would have 1200 yards behind this line.

I disagree, if he can handle 20 touches a game and remain healthy he is easily going to hit 1500+. Just his speed and vision will make him a threat to go all the way anywhere on that field.

Been saying this since before the draft. He's the starter. Unless, you know who comes along......

A much more reasonable post than the one throwing rocks at Murray. I guess it should be obvious why so many teams are full blown committees at RB. Dallas looks to be among them in 2015, and I can see why. At $8M/year, the injury risk is too great compared to the replacement value of our bargain bin RBs. That's a fine decision, just don't tell me it's an upgrade.

I have no question if Randle can run and get his yards, he is talented. I just hope he can carry the load for 60 minutes. We haven't seen whether or not if he can rush for 25+ with the "dirty" yards mixed in.

I think that he can build into that role and hopefully, he won't be asked to rush for almost 400 times. Just stay healthy and out of trouble. It will be interesting to see who gets the majority of 3rd downs.....him or DMC.

He does not need to carry it 25 times per game.

Randle looked good in those highlights and in the opportunities he received last season. Hopefully, he can continue to improve and stay out of trouble. Not sure he can carry the load or not but we'll see.

Yeah he looked good in spots but can he be an every down back. Was good in college, and maybe he is ready to step and be the man !

That run against Washington was sick, too. TEN MEN IN THE BOX! Are you freakin' kidding me? Wow.
