What’s #48 doing on this play? He comes flying across the field and takes out a blocker instead of the ball carrier. Was he mistaken about who had the ball? Or was he out of control and thus unable to redirect himself to Odell? Or is it sound football to eliminate a blocker to make his teammates’ job easier?

Boneheaded mental error, undisciplined physical error, or good team play that his teammates couldn’t take advantage of?

never saw that kind of effort when KRichard was coaching. He would have screamed at someone. 8)

That play should have only gained 2-5 yards max. A few poor angles and half-hearted tackle attempts later, Beckham is in the end zone practically untouched.

Aldon actually played it great. He kept contain didn't bite inside and made odell go wide to get around him. As a DE if you force a reverse wide typically that gives your defense enough time to rally. Sad effort from the other 10 guys.

as a DE you never want the play to go wide always force runner inside where there's help. But if your telling me you thought he had contain I wont argue it but it looked to me he didnt. I appreciated his effort anyhow much better than the other 10. this defense is historically bad and Im afraid its not fixable but well see

When Nolan says its not an effort issue you really have to question what he sees when he looks at these players. You will not convince me Woods was trying as hard as he could there.

Aldon PROBABLLY should have tried to force OBJ back inside on that reverse, THAT said...at least the man gave 110% and had the wherewithall to sniff it out. My question is, where the hell was the rest of the team on that play? lol. That guy is very instinctive. I think that was just natural...we need to get that man extended RIGHT NOW. He is the best dlineman we have. He shows heart and the want to...high motor.

One unit(THE DEFENSE FOR THE MOST PART)...PLAYS LIKE THEY DONT WANT TO BE THERE. and the Offense plays its ARSE off. The special teams unit is just BAD outside of Goodwin. He is a solid player but we dont have enough of guys like him.

But what did you invest in defense to make it better? Players still have to play. We have a lack of talent on defense. Just watch the tape. There are plays where 2 d lineman attack the same gap etc. They are just not good football players. Once Nolan gets his players in here then I will make my determination. But I've seen these same bad players for years now.
