so you don't hear about and it means it isn't true?

can you show me a precedent where an owner publicly debates whether to get rid of a player or not please?

I have as much hard evidence that he is considering cutting Romo as you have that he is considering cutting TO.

NONE

again, can you show me where an owner or coach has publicly debated whether to keep or release a player?

owners and coaches release players all the time, they never tell the media those intentions, so you believe that they just cut players on a whim?

and we're talking about 1,000s of instances here

There's no idea to cut Romo. No, I'm not guessing.

I remember it was clear long before Emmitt left that it was coming.

I have always wondered why everyone bought into the media hype but then recently it dawned on me. They hated TO from day one. The media just gives them something to rally around. It amazes me how much some have speculated and demanded a statement from Jerry or Wade on a player that's under contract.

did it come from Jerry or Parcells' mouth though?

no

it was an educated guess: Emmitt was old, he was going to cost 11 mil against the cap

Don't worry, all the reporters will soon start back tracking on their stories that T.O. leaving is "all but a done deal" or come down with slective amnesia once it becomes quite clear that he was never going anywhere.

They might cut him...they might not...then again, they might do it...but...then again...maybe not...but then again...who knows?

NO NO

They will say that Jerry counseled TO and laid down the law and received assurances that he will be a better teammate. That way ,even though they admit they were wrong, they will say it was because the "playing field changed".

It's a standard cop out in deals like these.

I or (we) can only hope that:

Lombardi
Schefter
Glazer
King

are correct, especially Lombardi. He pretty much said it's "if", not when. Also, he pretty much put his reputation on the line to a degree.

I still think he's gone. In my opinion, Jerry Jones had better play his cards right on this one. If he doesn't, he's going to pay a heavy price on and off the field, imo. The consequences will linger for years, imo.

I would be happy with a 4th or 5th round pick after shipping him to Oakland, perhaps, the only other team that would even have him.

Jerry Jones hasn't squashed the "cut Owens" talk, and he could have done it by now. So, there is hope. Perhaps, he wants all the credit after he cleans things up. That is a positive theory, anyway.

If Jones actually goes against the majority after being isolated, it will get ugly. I still think that Stephen Jones and Jason Garrett have tremendous power in this equation. Furthermore, Tom Ciskowski will have influence as well.

If it were me, I would tell Jerry to go coach the team if he forced Owens back on my roster. Owens' inability to get separation from some of the better cornerbacks spells mediocrity in the future and more hits on Tony Romo while he holds the ball and has to listen to Owens gripe.

Bingo. I wonder how will TO act now that he has heard all the rumors about the front office being divided. Will he pout or will he work even harder?

TO doesn't strike me as the kind of person that would react to criticism positively

There's never even a hint of his thoughts on TO. No one has even gave an "anonymous" source stating the guys stance on TO, and yet this dude can pull him out as being against him...

I have never seen anyone reach that far to lie in order to get close to making a point...:lmao:

cut Brad,Roy and others and you can make up the cap room and there are other ways to do it. the reason we keep 81 is cause Jerry thinks it can work and because he keeps the boys on espn.

I thought his cap number was pretty much set in stone no matter the outcome.

9 million either way +/- 600K.

it is. my point was that the theory that "we can't cut him cause than we will be in cap hell" is pure bs
