John Harbaugh was asked how the Giants can keep pace with NFC East

I dunno. I don’t think he is so great. He had nearly the best and most consistent FO in the league for about ever.

He isn’t coming in with some elaborate schemes that the league can’t figure out. Sure, he is well respected and will have instant and unquestioned command of the locker room, but in the end he will only be as good as the players they can put on the field.

I mean, he is no Shoddy if that’s what anyone is asking. Plus Shoddy has Caleb. Harbaugh does not.
He has no schemes, he has philosphies but no scheme. He is from the Andy Reid tree but he was a ST coach under Reid. He had a good FO in B-More and had a lot of good guys that carried over from Billick regime but he lost his QB, because he refused to step in and make suggestions with his OC. Do not get me wrong I think Lamar Jackson was part of the problem as well because all he is a scrambling QB that relies on his running ability to pass. Unfortunately all those hits are adding up and he ain't 25 any more.

If you hate Jerry so much, stop watching his team play games.

Otherwise, he brought the organization 3 trophies.

You Jerry bashers need to find a new hobby if you’re so emotionally involved in disliking a person you’ve never met.
I do not hate Jerry Jones. I do dislike him being a totally unqualified, self-appointed general manager in the National Football League.

Jones did not bring his organization three Lombardi trophies. He oversaw his franchise winning three Super Bowls early in his ownership. There is an inherent difference.

I will continue watching Dallas Cowboys games until six folks voluntarily carry me to my grave, which is exactly what I have done since 1974. Why? Because I have been and will always be emotionally invested in the Dallas Cowboys.

Jones is the franchise owner. The franchise was more than him before he owned it. It is more than him as its owner. It will be more than him after he is no longer the owner.

No one, literally, no one is going anywhere unless they choose to leave CowboysZone of their own volition. This ain't "I'm gonna join this site and tell others what to do." This is

Have a nice day.

Harbaugh is over rated. He had some great GM's in Baltimore to give him some very good to great players.
Lamar Jackson was over rated as well.

Not saying he will suck in NY. He will eventually make them competitive. But how long will it take. And how good will they truly be.
Barely a .500 record in the playoffs, and for the most part has had a determined front office providing him players...it's sacrilege to talk bad about a Harbaugh in the media, apparently

Well I think he said this so fans will have something to hope for . Also if giants only win 2 games in 26
but if they sweep the cowboys, nyg fans would love him.
Beat the cowboys is what is important for him as a new HC.
I dont know if they want to tank a little in 26, so they get another good draft, or if they will try to win games early on.

He will make NY competitive again, nyg had three crappy coaches in a row, harbaugh is way better than them.
I just dont know how they will do this first year, but it looks like he knows to just beat the cowboys, so that first game could be a wild one.
I doubt they can make playoffs this first year, but crazy things can happen.

Harbaugh knows you have to mention Cowboys to get claps, likes, and a little grace in helping him win some fans and organizational team members over.

Harbaugh will have them run the football. And they will be good at it. With all the high 1srt round picks over the last 10 years. I expect them to be pretty good. Coaching has been a big problem for them.

so your a jerry basher?? lol
That is something a guy says we have to love jerry and appreciate 3 long ago 90's SB wins,( by jimmy and his team) or go find another team lol.......wow.

Nice little zinger he got in on the Cowboys.

People keep expecting the Giants to turn it around and they keep failing year after year, ,,,,, I do think Harbaugh will make a difference though. Maybe they can reach our level and be perpetually mediocre.

anyone that thinks injuries is why we stank on D is a football fool
You know some of y'all's comprehension skills suck And yes you suck at reading and comprehending I said part of it and it was a huge part of it yes yes it was mike Zimmer comes in in his first year doesn't get almost nothing as far as free agents and good players but the injuries keeping both overshown and Parsons off the field in 2024 among many many others,

It is a big reason not the entire reason why we were bad in 2024 in 2025 if it wasn't for a big rash of injuries as bad as it was you may have had a few games that were slightly Better and maybe with that offense we could have won those games.

So read more what I wrote a huge part of all these games especially the last two years our injuries and luck and a lot of bad luck with injuries you get that you can see I rolling here it is very important..

There is no way that most coordinators could have done anything with our defense the last two years given all the injuries yes could have been better but would not have done much else but a slight improvement because you can't roll without your horses...

That is how it works I didn't say the entire reason I said a large part especially in 2024 you can see the huge upswing in the way our defense played with overshown and Parsons on the field one or the other and both together.

And you have no parsons in 2025 but then a injuries and yes Matt Eberflue sucked but as bad as he sucked he was playing with a bunch of practice squad players and free agents that did not workout and guys off the street trying to play around some of the other starters that may have been leftover but yes we have had the injury bug that has been a large part but not all of the lack of success on defense yes it was injuries...

I have zero problems with anyone criticizing my posts about Jerry Jones, whether they be humorous, serious, or anything in-between. On day one, the man's qualifications for being an NFL general manager was playing college football, during the 60's.

He has enjoyed a tenure that has self-servingly exceeded his non-ownership peers by decades (with an 's'). That type of inflexibility is abnormal for any individual publicly stating their ultimate goal is Super Bowl championships. He should be called out on it. He will be called out on it.

I don’t see that Harbaugh said anything incendiary towards the Cowboys; Shotty should be saying the same thing: these two teams are long-time NFC East rivals…and last I checked football is a competitive sport.
While Harbaugh endured some adversity his last couple of seasons in Baltimore; he is a very good, albeit aggressive coach, who should have the Giants playing tough, fundamentally-sound football.
For those thinking Harbaugh is overrated then by comparison what kind of coach is Shotty?

:lmao:

How many are still on the team. And how many have made an impact so far.
You keep giving them props, but never do this for Dallas.

Schotty or anyone Dallas related says the same thing or similar. They get roasted on here.
Harbaugh (or any other coach) says it coming from a rival team. And he gets a pass, or is complimented over it.

Agree across the board. As mentioned, it was time for both to move along. If he has success in NY it’s about the players they put on the field, not some magic he brought with him.

I did not forget that. But I am going by what is on the field. The FO's already done their jobs. Now it is up to the coaching staff and the players.
FO has done their job? HAH
we have no real clue as of yet whether they have or not

I am not comparing Schotty to Harbaugh, I am comparing Harbaugh to the likes of Barry Switzer. His fingerprint on the ravens is the lack of fingerprint, he is not an Xs and Os defensive or offensive coach. He cycled through many good coordinators and even brought many back after they failed as head coaches. He pretty much led a team that was held together by Ray Lewis and front office hat can find players but refuses to keep if they ask for their market value.

Other than a few roster churning moves. Maybe redo a contract. Yes they are done as far as main talent acquisition goes. Unless a trade during TC or right before the season.

Notice he didn’t bring up a certain other team though, as that’s an unrealistic ask in year 1

hopefully Dart ends up sucking. That would derail the thing.
