Johnson X-rays Negative

The reason you get an xray on an ankle is to look for a fracture. It being negative just means there probably isnt a fracture. But it is likely badly sprained unless thsy are just being reall cautious. I didnt watch the game, which way did the ankle turn? In amy case hell probably be out several weeks.

I suffered a badly sprained ankle my senior year in high school; the doctor told me I would have been better off if it would have broken. I played the rest of the games, but it hurt and really impacted my play.

I watched the game and didn't notice anything special by Johnson. And the one time we really got to see him, he gets injured making a tackle. He'll never make it on the team with performances like that. He really needs to show something on the field and be able to stay healthy. Too much competition this year for him to stick with another injury-riddled year.

I was about to post the obvious. He didn't make any outstanding plays (he looks like he's still playing tentative to me), but I was really impressed with him. He was right where he was supposed to be, showed good range and solid tackling, and seemed to know his responsibilities and be a good athlete.
Wilcox, by comparison, flashed on a couple of plays, but looked to me like he was all over the place out there. He might be tearing it up in practice, but I thought he showed good potential but looked like the kind of player who can get you burned badly once you get a few weeks' tape on him.

Y
I agree just starting to get tires of always hearing about MJ getting hurt. That's not something you want in your safety.

Yes. That is true but it is a wonderful quality to have at every other position on your team. :).

You just wonder if Matt training has made him inflexible and tight.

We'll see what happened, but dings like this happen to everybody. Especially if the team is being particularly conscious of injuries in preseason games.
He played well tonight, too, which is the more important thing.

The guy can't stay healthy. I have no idea why, but he can't. I just don't see this guy playing a full season.

Well I'm hoping Johnson's injury isn't serious. He looked really good to me out there.

I wasn't impressed at all last night with his play and he does seem to be very injury prone.

I don't know, but anyone who said it then and actually tried to step to Felix would've had their last meal laid out in front of them on the ground.

What fantasy land do you live in. How do you know this?

You are the type that looks at a man, and says, "yeah he looks mean, no way I or he can take him" ....pathetic

Disregard that last post.. i see the overreaction is already well underway.

I don't think it's completely unjustifiable, you suffer a season ending injury in the weight room RACKING YOUR WEIGHT, you develop a little bit of a track record

I felt like Matt was having a good day tell he got hurt. Looked like a high ankle sprain to me. Him and Wilcox just need some more playing time IMO. Both have seem to have the range to play the position.

As much as I love his intensity and how he closes on the ball carrier like a missile, he may need to play with a bit more body control and not throw his body around like a wrecking ball.

I'll tell it to his face. What's he gonna do, hit me? His hand will break on my face.

a lot of young player get hurt at the beginning of their careers, it's not like the kid has bum knees or multiple surgeries....he had hamstring issues last year and he sprained his ankle, it was tough luck so far.

I'd bet my house you wouldn't say a word to him if you saw him let alone call him a "glass man" lol nice try though

Oh, now I get it.
Somehow this a racial thing for you.
Wow
That's silly, IMO.
But I'll bail on this , as that's a dead end street
Was that intended to be racial? I must have missed something beside him stating that Felix Jones got hurt all the time with a bigger body of work then Johnson I didn't see anything race related in there

Glad to see the Xrays was negative but the way I see it. Matt Johnson have 4 more games to prove himself that he deserve a roster spot on this team. So far I haven't seen anything close to keeping him.

If MJ can't make an impact in our secondary during these next couple weeks, Cowboys need to go in a different direction and stop babysitting injury-prone players who we hope can help when healthy.

No, that was not his intent.
I think I explained later that some friends of mine were asking that same thing based on some local writers' comments.
You read it right, I think
