Johnson X-rays Negative

Oh, now I get it.
Somehow this a racial thing for you.
Wow
That's silly, IMO.
But I'll bail on this , as that's a dead end street

Nah, moreso just someone who probably wants to scan for hypocrisy. While there is plenty of hypocritical posting here, whether this counts as that, I don't know. It's like someone saying "Where was this post when people called Kevin Burnett that?"

What fantasy land do you live in. How do you know this?

You are the type that looks at a man, and says, "yeah he looks mean, no way I or he can take him" ....pathetic

How do i know?

Because Felix runs into brick walls for a living a spends his days lifting weights.. not posting on a message board about how brave they are.

As for me, again.. your personal attacks mean nothing.. because you're sitting in front of a computer screen talking trash to someone you don't even know.

lol

Not to mention I'm bigger than Johnson, and unlike him (who is trained to play football), I'm trained to kill (Hooah). Yeah, I have zero fear of Matt Johnson.

That said, I like the way he played tonight. But it's a simple fact that he IS injury prone. Like I said, there can still be a role for him on the team, just can't be relied upon to be a starter.

I had about three different replies to this, but don't want the mods on my back again.

Was that intended to be racial? I must have missed something beside him stating that Felix Jones got hurt all the time with a bigger body of work then Johnson I didn't see anything race related in there

You read it 100% correct. Nothing racial at all. I guess you could say its a white in white crime considering I'm white.(it's a joke people). But no I was pointing out that Felix was called glass man with a much bigger body of work and that Matt Johnson is treated like a god around here by some yet he can't stay healthy during a practice or a game so why doesn't he get the same treatment? I mean some fans are quick to dog a guy who actually performed and was a big part of the only playoff win in the last 17 years, but some 4th rd comp pick gets a huge pass it makes no sense.

I think that given MJ's history since being drafted, that this little ding in the game has many people questioning his durability...if this was Wilcox with the same exact ding, then there wouldn't even be a thread...I will wait to see him in the next pre-season game before I pass judgment on him.

Matt Johnson eerily reminds me of Randy Hughes, a potential star at safety back in the 70s for the Cowboys. Hughes had all kinds of talent but every time he got on the field his shoulder would pop out. He was in line to replace Charlie Waters as the starting strong safety but he could never stay healthy.

Unlike Johnson, however, Hughes was an All-American at Oklahoma. Johnson didn't have the college awards but he seems to have something. Too bad he can't stay out of the training room.

I agree. These injuries will likely cost him a spot on the team if he can't manage to stay on the field. However what I don't get are the personal attacks on him. I seriously doubt this is how he wanted his career to go.

I'm white and I don't get the love either.

All I can say is I never took pleasure in seeing Felix injured. I can clearly understand a team cutting ties with a player because constant injuries, they are no help to the team if they are constantly missing time but never understood people attacking a player because he is injured. Do people actually think these players are trying to get hurt and have their careers stunted or ended? Something strange about people sitting behind the comfy confines of a computer questioning the toughness of a player?

This thread *does* have a topic. Please try to stick to it, ok?

I get the personal attacks. Being a Cowboys fan is personal; :) I'm sure some of us feel the guy is letting us down intentionally.

More than anything, we may never really know if the guy can be a player. As frustrating as it is for us, I'm sure the frustration is on a greater level for him!
