I passed tape yesterday (28%) and now I'm starting to get my paperwork together (marriage licence, college transcripts, references, etc...). Next friday I'll probably be going for my physical so I'll probably be in reception in about 2-3 weeks.

Don't miss me too much ya buncha homos. :D

As always, you have my best wishes, ol' buddy... here's hoping the Army lets you get out and see some of the world (just not those parts where they're shooting at each other)...

You're 37, you can put in your 20 and still have a hell of a lot of your life ahead of you when you get out...

Good ole Ft Sam....I wonder if it's still an open base?

It's still 99.999 per cent open, but they won't let you in... perhaps that's because I told them you were adopted, and your real name was Hussein bin Laden... :D

Hello Ft Sam Houston.

Nice. You will either be with a support battalion/company or get to work in a clinic/hospital.

Oh and I imagine the school is still at Ft Sam Houston in San Antonio. I honestly think that was my favorite place while I was in the Army.

Good luck and Best wishes PFC Rack.:starspin

I liked it so much here I ended up making it home.

But I told them you were a habitual liar so they didn't believe you. :D

I just turned 37 a couple of weeks ago. I was held back in 8th grade (had to live with strangers that year cuz my father was an ****** and my mother had to leave town for work. Had an "issue" with the people working there that I won't discuss here).

And if you're about to turn 35 it doesn't make any sense, unless you graduated at 17.

I was 17 when I graduated but I turned 18 a couple of weeks afterwards. And reported to basic a month or so later.

Rick, have you started running yet? You need to work on your wind- the boot camp will be pushing older guys like you hard to see if you can hack it.

I'm Class of 92,

1992 - 1974 = 18

Oh Chico, I hope you don't have to do any math for us out there.:D

But in all seriousness my friend, God Bless you. We will pray for you often and much respect for enlisting...

Yeah I've been running. Got myself up to about 2 miles now. Not great, but a helluva lot better then the 1/4 mile I started off at. :D

Graduation is in May. If you're birthday is in June (or after graduation) then 1992-1974 still equals 18, but you'd have graduated at 17. ;)
