Yeah, I've never seen a reason to call him that.

If Goodell were a real man, he would've called or scheduled a meeting with Gruden
and they would've worked out their opinions of each other and moved on.
The way he chose to handle it was like a middle school mean girl.
Frankly, there was zero reason to make this public and Goodell, in my opinion, leaked it.
He knew he was ending Gruden's career over private emails.

Plus, before releasing what was said in the emails, they sensationalized it, like crazy!
I remember when they finally did, it was like, that's it!?!

You got that right. If Goodell were a real man, he wouldn't have suspended Cowboys players for twice as long as other team's players just because he was in a beef with Jerry. One example was Zeke's suspension when it was clear that some woman was trying to scam him and the DA found no evidence to charge him. I hate Goodell almost as much as I hate the Eagles.

I guess I stopped paying attention. What did Gruden say?

I get benched for less than what Gruden said in a private email, years ago, to
Bruce Allen.

He called a man with big lips, DeMaurice Smith,, Michelin lips.
Weak minds immediately called that rayyyycist.
Apparently people never heard of Mick Jagger or Steven Tyler.
He also called Goodell g*y.
Hardly something that constitutes ruining a man for life. This is like an
elementary school recess banter.

Yes, different story, but the Zeke suspension really ticked me off.
There were 8 affidavits that should've cleared him, EIGHT!
That whole thing was ridiculous.
Yeah, talk about unfair and unjust. I'm sure Zeke has called Goodell a few
names since then, privately, of course.

See how quickly the topic jumps off the rails when someone unhinged
and off their meds joins the conversation.

LOL, I'm sure the Cowboys email system was loaded with cursing Goodell, calling him every name in the book. Hopefully the Cowboys techs cleaned it up since the Rskins debacle, and removed all prior backups.

Gruden is from the 80s. That was normal talk at that time. Hard to shake what you're raised doing.

That is not how it works now. Everyone is the exact same today as they were 20-30 years ago.....

Goodell is a lying, cheating, scumbag, punk ^*&@y &!(&h and should not be running the NFL.

He's not, the owners run the NFL and most people forget that.

Goodell is the point man and gets paid handsomely to be the "bad guy"

I found this on the net. The NFL Commissioner is in charge of negotiating deals to bring revenue into the NFL, negotiating the collective bargaining deal with the players, player discipline, scheduling, and the rules of the game.

So, as long as he has a cabal of owners to support him, he has a pretty big hand in what the NFL does. He is still a scumbag when it comes to how he has treated the Cowboys throughout his tenure. A real dirtbag scumbag.

I disagree.
People are FAR MORE sensitive today than even 10 years ago.
Case in point, there are words currently forbidden here that weren't
an issue 5 years ago due to the softies feelings getting hurt.

The reporting is different than 20-30 years ago, by far.
They sensationalize everything without stating any real facts up front.
Go back and look at how this story was originally leaked out.
All for what turns out was equivalent to a school yard burn by a 9 year old.

that was meant to be sarcastic. Also a commentary how what one does in his 20-30s is different from what he does in his 50s
