Why worry about it now, Jerry always says things. If team doesn't make the playoffs, one vodka and tonic can change his mind in a second.

Could this just be Jerry's kiss of death.

If Jerry kissed me, I know I would die. Hate old people kisses.

... and then the heavens opened up

and it rained blood for 7 days and 7 nights

and this was followed by a wave of pestilence the likes of which had never before been seen

spare me the idiotic hyperbole.

a .500 gm is not the worst, he is average

You really need to reconsider your support of your GM. Only Mike Brown of the Bengals has fewer playoff wins spanning the period beginning in 1996, essentially when Jimmy's legacy talent petered out - the effective salary cap era. Now there are other GM's that haven't had any playoff success in the salary cap era, but I think you ascertain what happened to them... they got fired.

I'm no fan of Garrett, but I also don't think there are many, if any, coaches that will succeed for the Cowboys. There's only been 1 constant over the past 17 years and that 1 thing isn't changing so I don't see our success changing eihter.

Well, Garrett ain't one among those coaches tht can succeed..

"Well, umm, I'm going to tell ya, its takes a real good coach to see 17 years of .500 and be able to keep us right at that point. Umm, we look for consistency and Jason gives us that. Not many coaches can keep you at 132-132. You tell me who can do that? Good day."

You need to read more carefully. Pointing out mediocrity is not defending

Not only will Jason Garrett stay on as Head Coach, but Jerry Jones will also stay on as General Manager. Continuity. :)

It actually makes sense with the cap situation next season. Next year is a mess of messes no need to bring in a new head coach and tie his hands from the jump.

Garrett will get one more year to win with his players before jj blows it all up and starts over.

Hey, come on now, coaches can't be expected to perform at that high a level year in and year out...

Jack-***.

What a giggle this is. The front office here has never been known to reverse field. Not ever.

Grain of salt.
